The judge said that there is no reason the documents should be taking this long, and is now fining them $10,000 for their failure to comply with the order. We've had several big developments in the ongoing investigation by New York attorney general Letitia James investigating Donald Trump's companies for possibly over inflating their values in order to pay less than taxes and to secure more in loans. And what has happened this week is the judge in the case, judge Arthur in Goran, both ruled on Wednesday, that one, Donald Trump you're out of contempt. I am no longer holding you in contempt. You paid your fine. You submitted the affidavits. I asked for proving that you were at least looking for the documents. You swear, you can't find you're good to go get ready for your depositions coming up, uh, in about a week. And then at the same day, Iran also ruled that the, uh, uh, real estate firm of Cushman and Wakefield you on the other hand are being held in contempt. And I am going to find you much like I did Donald Trump $10,000 per day, because you have continuously failed to produce the documents that have been subpoenaed by the New York attorney general.

Now Kushman and Wakefield is the real estate company that Donald Trump used to value his properties. So obviously, if there is any impropriety there, it would've occurred from Kushman in Wakefield and they wanna see, uh, not just how Kushman and Wakefield valued the trunk properties, but they want their documents related to how they valued other properties to make sure it's all the same. And if there were any differences in how they valued the Trump properties, then yes, it would likely, uh, kind of point towards not necessarily legal activities. Of course, this investigation is just a civil one. They're not looking to charge him criminally. So if they did find any criminal activity, they would have to refer that elsewhere to get a prosecution. So here's, what's really, uh, interesting about this Kushman and Wakefield has had two months since the judge ordered them by Letitia James request to comply with the subpoena, the subpoena that originally had been issued last year, and then the most recent one came in February of this year.

And then in April, the judge said, Hey, okay, I'm giving you two months. You've gotta do this. Two months is more than enough time to get the documents. And then right before the midnight deadline, they filed a motion saying, oh God, we need more time. And that's when the next day the judge was like, I'm, I'm not giving you more time. I'm giving you a $10,000 per day, fine, cuz I'm holding you in contempt for failing to do it. And the lawyers for Kushman in Wakefield, this is what they actually said. Um, been working around the clock for more than a week to accomplish this delegated task, to, to which the lawyers on the other side said, you've had eight weeks.
