Dr. Oz Tries To Distance Himself From Trump As His Campaign Fumbles

Dr. Mehmet Oz is not doing well AT ALL in his general election campaign for Senate, so he's trying a new tactic: Pretending Donald Trump doesn't exist. Trump's endorsement is likely what helped Oz win the primary, but now that the January 6th Committee has hurt Trump's reputation so bad, Oz is quietly removing all of the references to Trump that he had previously proudly displayed. This has not gone unnoticed by Trump's friends, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Conservatives are furious with Dr. MEIT Oz and his Pennsylvania Senate race, because he has gone through and scrubbed mentions of Donald Trump from his campaign website and his Twitter account. Now, prior to the primary Oz was out there, even in his final pitch, said he was pro-Trump. He had on his website proudly right there on the front page, endorsed by Trump. He had it on his Twitter feed, but then once he won and of course, once the televised, January 6th, hearings began all these little mentions that Donald Trump just disappeared. Oz understood as he understands today, how toxic that association with Donald Trump is. And of course, how much more toxic it will become as more and more of these hearings happen. Trump is not looking good. You have his own former advisors, including his former chief of staff MC Mulvaney that have now spoken out against him and things aren't going well.

So Oz has gone through a bit of a rebrand, you know, recently he actually appeared on Fox business and said, look, if your ideology is Democrat, you know, God love you. Why don't you come over to our side? We've got a big tent. He's no longer going full mag and saying that everybody associated with Democrats as a horrible evil groomer. No he's saying, Hey, I like you guys. Come on over. Look at how nice and friendly I am. Send me to the Senate, but it's not working so well because now he risks alienating that mega bass in Pennsylvania that actually helped him win the primary. Like the Oz race is one of, uh, just a handful where Trump's endorsement actually did make a difference. You know, he narrowly defeated McCormick, um, you know, had to go to a recount, took forever to get the results.

So it was close and had Trump not come out and endorsed us. It's unlikely that he would've prevailed in that race. Probably wouldn't have even had enough to go to a recount McCormick would've won it, you know, cleanly there, but you have people like Sebastian Gorka who, when it was revealed that he scrubbed the endorsed by Trump from his campaign website, Gorka said, Oz just pulled a slimy move after Trump helped him, uh, also far right, pundit Jack Paso, uh, also tweeted something similar to that, basically, you know, saying, oh, this was totally predictable. So you do have these conservatives out there with, you know, huge influence over the Maga world that are calling him out for this. And then on the other side, you've got his opponent, John Federman, who enjoys a very comfortable lead over Oz right now pointing out that in his campaign material, he's actually using
