Former Chief Of Staff Says Trump Is Damaged Goods And He Won't Support Him Again

Former Donald Trump chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said recently that many members of the GOP, including himself, view Donald Trump as "damaged" and that he would not support him if he runs for president again. These are strong words coming the man who once held the job of making sure Trump didn't screw up too badly, and if he's telling the truth about the rest of the Party, it is certainly a warning about Trump's future prospects. In a recent interview with CNN, Mulvaney, Donald Trump's, former chief of staff said that many Republicans, including himself, trying to get away from Donald Trump, because of course they now see him as quote, damaged and Mulvaney. Again, who served as one of Donald Trump's, many chiefs of staff says that this is all because of what has been revealed in the January 6th select committee, televised hearings specifically, he says Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony, which he believes as many do that. That was really a game changer with these whole hearings. And of course, with the public image, the perception of Donald Trump. So here's what he had to say. Folks, especially at my party are looking at Donald Trump is damaged. The significance of last week's congressional, January 6th, committee hearings cannot be overstated.

I agree with him. I, I didn't think I'd ever agree with the guy that tried to destroy the consumer financial protection bureau, but here I am agreeing with him. And the best part is I'm not agreeing with him just on a matter of opinion. It's not like me and M Mulvaney said, oh, you know what? I think no, we're looking around and we're seeing it happen in real time. You know, Dr. Oz, great example. I've talked about that, how he has scrubbed his campaign website of all dimensions of Trump that he had previously had on there. You have other candidates that are trying to now distance themselves from Trump. Even if they got the endorsement, you have more and more Republicans speaking out saying this is really bad for Trump. I don't know how he overcomes this. We have heard similar statements from people at Fox news, the, uh, uh, conservative Washington examiner, their entire editorial board put out an op-ed saying that these hearings have proven Trump is unfit for office, as I've been saying, right?

There's more and more cracks forming. And these new cracks seem to be forming within the Republican party with regard to, you know, Trumpism every day. It's still not enough to make the break, but we're getting more cracks. And the cracks that are there are getting bigger. And I do think in time that we will find out that Donald Trump is completely damaged to the point where he could not win another election. Even if he ran for, you know, city council down there, you know, in wherever Mar Lago, uh, district is, he wouldn't be able to do it. That's how damaged I do believe he is going to become as these hearings continue. Each one is getting worse for him, right? It's not like it's getting better. His situation is not doing any better at all. We've got the investigation in Georgia that is really picking up ski, uh, steam, the DOJ, looking into the fake electors. That one is getting worse for Donald Trump in searing. All the people from his inner circle,

Things are getting worse by the week for Donald Trump. And as that continues, the damage is going to continue to Mount for him pretty soon. I imagine we're gonna get that presidential announcement, right? He's gonna try to stop the bleeding somehow. And of course, try to prevent other Republicans from seizing on this moment and jumping into the 20, 24 race. And I don't even know if at this point, if it is because he actually wants to be president again, or if it's just because he thinks running for president is somehow going to save him from all of the horrible things, you know, possible criminal prosecutions that at this point do really appear to be right around the corner.
