According to a recent report from public citizen, the weapons industry, right? The military industrial complex weapons industry has poured 10.2 million into the campaigns of both Republicans and Democrats. So far in this 2022 election cycle, 10 million, 10, 10.2 million. Do you know what their expected rate of return is for this investment? Well, the report, the good people at public citizen crunched the numbers, and they found out that if, of course, we end up passing president Biden's $813 billion military budget for the year, along with the, uh, extra tens of billions that both the house and Senate have said, let's just give 'em more because, Hey, we love these guys. If that passes. And of course it will. These weapons manufacturers who donated 10 million will end up receiving a 450000% return on their investment. So you put in 10 million and you get back tens of billions and you, you you'd have to be a fool to not make that investment. Right. And as I said, the, the weapons industry, the, the military industrial complex, this is not just a Republican thing. This is not just a Democrat thing. They're given money to both parties. They're given money to both parties fairly equally,
Because they know that the people they give money to are three times more likely to vote in favor of those $800 billion military budgets every year, thus giving them more return on their investment. They've paid off the right people. And they know that. And $10 million, you know, for an election cycle split among, you know, all the members of the house and the members of the Senate who are running this year. That's a tiny drop in the bucket for these multibillion dollar industries. They spend minimal and they get back more than any other industry in this country, from the federal government. And the fun thing for them is they get it every single year. The military budget has increased every single year. I hope everybody realizes, you know, two years ago we were at 740 billion this year with the extra extension, from the house and Senate, we're gonna be at 850 billion. This means at this current rate, within the next three years, our annual military budget will top 1 trillion. And where does that money go? By the way, that's what people have to understand. When we're talking about this Pentagon budget,
It's not going to give all our soldiers raises, right? We're not building great grand new military bases here in us soil. No we're hiring contractors to build them overseas. We're using that money to buy new drones, new technology, new weapons, new planes, new bombs, new everything. And all of that money goes to the private contractors. This has to stop. We, we are going to be a strictly arms dealing country in a couple years with the amount of money we throw at this. And as per usual, nobody asks, how are we gonna pay for it? That's only if you want things like universal healthcare, do they ask how you gonna pay for it? Nobody bats an eye. As we approach a trillion dollars a year for the weapons industry, which is exactly what the military budget has become a 450000% return on investment because this industry has paid off all the right people in Congress.
