Republican Senators Say Trump Is Too Damaged To Run Again And They're Glad

Multiple Republican senators - all of whom requested anonymity - recently told reporters that they not only think that Donald Trump has been too badly damaged to run for President again, but also that they are GLAD that this has happened. The Party is ready to move forward with quite literally anyone else at the helm, but they are far too cowardly to admit it publicly. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Multiple Republican senators recently spoke to the Hill on the condition of anonymity, of course. So we don't know who these sitting Republican senators are, but they all basically told the same story. One, the January 6th committee has damaged Trump so badly, we do not think that he could win another presidential race. And two, we're very glad that that is the case. Let me read a couple of quotes here again, from these anonymous Republican senators. I don't think he'll run again and that's a good thing because of the whole cascade of events. A second Republican Senator said this, I could count on one hand the number of Republican senators who want Donald Trump to be our nominee. I could count it on one finger.

Then of course, in just the past week, you have had two prominent Republicans, one being minority leader Mitch McConnell, the other being minority whip John Thune, who both came out and said that we're gonna have a crowded Republican field in 2024, basically sending that shot across the bow to Donald Trump as a warning to let him know, hey bud, you're not guaranteed anything. You're gonna have to fight for it if you want it. Now I'm annoyed of course, with the fact that these individuals are allowed to go out there and say these things anonymously. If you wanna trash Donald Trump, if you wanna go out there and actually make a statement, then make the statement. Don't be afraid to show your face. Don't be afraid to give your name, because if you are, you're just feeding into that fear of Donald Trump.

A fear that should not exist because the man has no real power. You're giving him that power. You're falsely creating it by being afraid of it. Give your names. This is cowardly. And we have seen this by the way, ever since Donald Trump was first running for president, anonymous people associated with his campaign said that he's, you know, an idiot. He's not taking this seriously. Oh, anonymous staffers working in the White House said it's pure chaos and they hate it there. And he's a hothead with a temper. Anonymous Republican officials say they don't want him to ever run again. Give your names. Stop being cowards. Stop being afraid of this giant man baby, because that's what this is projecting. I wanna know who these Republicans are. The public should know. We should have these people on national news. We should be interviewing them.

They should be making their voices heard because the more Republicans that hear it, the more Republicans you get to turn against Donald Trump. Yeah, you're gonna have to deal with the MAGA crowd. They're gonna be unhappy that you've said these things. But the MAGA crowd is in no way a majority, even of Republican voters. Most Republican voters don't want Trump to run again. You have the power of the majority on your side, you idiots, but you're too scared of your own shadow to even go out there and say how you feel. That's pathetic. What a pathetically weak way to go through life. If you've got something to say, say it, show your face, give your name. Let people know who is saying what. Otherwise, no matter the situation, whether it's politics or your personal life, you're an absolute coward.
