Florida governor Ron DeSantis is the king of saying things that don't actually mean anything, and his recent comments about Florida being where "woke goes to die" prove it. He said the word "woke" 5 times in 19 seconds, but it is a phrase that has lost any and all meaning to most people. I've already doubled down on it, but let's call this Quinn tling down on a claim that I have repeatedly made here at ring of fire. And of course, over on fair and balance, and even on some other programs, and that is this, Ron DeSantis will not make it on the national stage. If he runs for president. Now, that's not to say that he's not gonna do well in a Republican primary. He could even win. But if you've watched Ron DeSantis recently, you've probably noticed something. And I say that because even newspapers over in the United Kingdom are starting to write stories about how this guy is a one trick pony who says a lot of things without actually saying anything at all the independent over in the UK. Uh, put out a story this week about Ron DeSantis meltdown over the weekend where he mentioned, uh, we're gonna fight the woke in the schools, fight the woke in the business fight. The woke woke, woke, woke, woke, woke, woke. He mentioned the word woke five times in 19 seconds. The independent pointed out five times in 19 seconds using that word woke. That means nothing.

And that's what more and more people are starting to realize when this man speaks. He says a lot of things, but he's not actually saying anything. He's throwing red meat out for the hardcore right wing base. Sure. But if you don't fall into that category, which is most of the country, you're looking at this guy saying, oh my God, if you say woke one more time, I'm gonna shove a chopstick into my ear and stab my brain because that's all he knows how to do now. Where have we seen a Republican like that before rewind the clock to 2015 Republican debates, a man by the name of Marco Rubio, Marco Rubio as Chris Christie brilliantly pointed out in those Republican debates has a set of talking points that he is literally unable to deviate from. And if you pull him off script, if you ask him a different question, Christi pointed out, he will go back to those same talking points, whether they are relevant or not. And then after Chris Christi attacked Rubio in that way, Rubio interrupted by literally repeating the same talking points. If you haven't seen that clip again recently, go back and watch it again. With somebody like Chris Christie, who is very possibly running for president and Christie calls him out and he says, define the word woke, what the hell are you talking about? You're throwing out these phrases because you think people want to hear it, but you don't even know what it means. So tell us right now what it means, call him out on stage and watch him flounder. Cuz we've seen what happens when Ron DeSantis gets called out by reporters. His face immediately turns red. I mean visibly, he will turn red. He gets flustered. He gets angry and he can't think anymore. He can't think on his feet folks. And that's something you gotta be able to do. That is something to his credit Donald Trump could do. Now. He just made crap up off the top of his head. That sounded weird, but he never missed a beat with it.

DeSantis. Can't do that. I've been watching this guy for four years. I know what I'm talking about. He may be popular right now.
