Majority Of Americans Say Trump Definitely Broke The Law By Stealing Documents

According to a new poll, a majority of Americans believe that Donald Trump definitely broke the law by stealing documents from the White House, and a plurality of Americans want to see him indicted for this. The numbers are sharply divided among party lines, but the number of Independents who view Trump as a lawbreaker are overwhelming and show that he likely won't get support outside his base if he ever runs for office again. According to another new poll this week, a plurality of Americans actually think that Donald Trump not only committed a crime, but should also be indicted for said crime. And that crime of course, is the stealing of the documents that were found down at Malago. And a majority of Americans say that, yes, Donald Trump committed a crime, but not a majority say that he should be prosecuted for it. Here's how those numbers break down. 47% said he did something illegal, an additional, oh, 47% say he did something illegal and should be charged with it. An additional 14% said he did something illegal, but should not be charged with it. So 61% of people in this new poll said, yes, he did something illegal, but only 41 per or 47% said he should be charged. The other 14 to add up to the 61 said, nah, of course he did something illegal, but, but you shouldn't charge him for it apparently because that's how things go now. Like, oh, hell yeah, that guy totally just robbed that bank. But can we just let him go? I mean, come on. There's other banks out there, there's lots of money to go around.

There's other interesting things in this poll, 20% of Republican surveys said that Trump did something unethical while only 5% said that he did something illegal. 63% of Republicans said that he did nothing wrong. Um, 61% of Americans said they do not want Trump to run for office again in 2024, this includes 90% of Democrats, 26% of Republicans and 67% of independence. So what this poll also tells us, in addition to, of course, most people think that yes, he broke the law with taking the documents tomorrow logo. It also tells us that the only base that Trump has is what, 67% of the Republican party. So you're talking about less than a third of the population. And you only have two thirds of that less than one third. You think you can win an election with that? You think you can be electorally successful with two thirds of under one third of the country that says, yes, I like you not gonna happen, bud.

You are way too underwater with independent voters here in the United States to stand any kind of a chance at winning another election. That's the big takeaway. You know, it's almost as if the part where, oh, he broke the law. Oh, we should go to jail. He should be prosecuted. That part's irrelevant. Right? They're kind of burying the lead here because the heart of it are the numbers showing that Donald Trump has no actual path to victory in this country. Should he ever run for president again? Kind of feel like that's the big takeaway from this new.
