YouTube Description
as posted by the channelNewly-released body cam footage shows Capitol Rioters using a giant Trump banner to assault police officers during the riot. This is probably the single best metaphor for everything that took place that day. But more importantly, it shows that the Party lining up to "back the blue" doesn't actually believe in protecting police officers at all - unless they are killing unarmed people. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

During one of the trials for a capital Rioter this past week who was just sentenced to 46 months in prison, um, they showed a video of this specific capital rioter, along with many others, picking up a giant Trump banner and then using the Trump banner to assault police officers in front of the capitol. So here is this video. This is from body cam footage of one of the Capitol police officers of them being assaulted. All of the cops in that area being assaulted by a giant Trump banner. Take a look. Could there be a better metaphor for what happened that day? Right? You're talking about a giant Trump banner being used to assault the rule of law in the United States. Donald Trump's name Assaulting Law and Order, Really, that kind of sums up Donald Trump's entire presidency. The Rioter who just got sentenced to 46 months where this video was shown because he was the leader of that group. He said, No, no, no, no. It wasn't a, it wasn't a Trump flag. He said it was a a, a Blue Lives Matter flag.
Okay. Do you realize that would actually probably be even worse if you were using a Blue Lives Matter banner to beat the out of police officers? Do you not see the irony there? Like it's better to be like, Oh yeah, it was a Trump banner, but this guy actually tried to lie in court and say, No, we were using a Blue Lives Matter. And then they showed the video and he's like, Oh, I guess, I guess that's what that said. Oops, I'm gonna go pack for prison now. And he is. He's 46 months. Good. Hopefully he understands what he did wrong. Hopefully he feels some remorse, but more importantly, hopefully he gets rehabilitated because this can't just be all about the punishment. There has to be the introspection, there has to be the mental health aspect of this or else all of this is just basically a timeout for this guy.
We need to focus on the rehabilitation part in incarceration, not just with these capital rioters, but with everybody that is incarcerated. Reduce recidivism. That's the point. That's the plan, right? But we're not doing that. And I know I'm getting into a completely new issue. So let me just back up and go back to the Trump banner. As I said, that is a perfect metaphor for that entire Trump administration. And it also shows us, once again, that Republicans and their little followers we're never actually serious about their Blue Lives Matter campaign or their little stickers on their car that say back the blue, thin blue line. No, they only wanna support police officers when they kill unarmed black people because that makes them happy. But when those same police officers are telling these white people, Hey, you're not allowed to do this. Suddenly all of that back, the Blue Blue Lives Matter stuff goes out the window, and based on that video, they'll pick up the thing closest to them and start assaulting those police officers.
