Fewer Than HALF Of Americans Say Candidates Should Accept Midterm Results

A startling new poll has found that fewer than half of Americans believe that candidates should commit to accepting the midterm election results ahead of the election. Not surprisingly, the number of Democrats who believe the results should be accepted is nearly double the number of Republicans, but not even half of Independents were willing to say the results should be trusted. This is not good news for our country, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

According to the results of a very terrifying new poll, fewer than half of Americans believe that midterm candidates should commit themselves to accepting the results of their elections This year, only 46% of Americans think that candidates running for office this year should accept the midterm results. Obviously break it down by party. 64% of Democrats think that people should accept the results. Only 36% of Republicans think that people should accept the results. And shockingly, only 45% of independence think that people should accept the election results. We have basically most of the country at this point saying, Nope, don't do it. Don't accept it, fight it. It's all fake. Nothing matters, nothing's real. And this is how our entire democratic system comes crumbling to the ground. And this is something, by the way, you can 100% pin on Donald Trump,

Cuz now it looks like everybody's saying like, Oh, well that's just how things are now. Like it happened one time and now everybody's like, Well this is just the new normal. I guess we have to fricking accept it. And they have accepted it because we have seen Republican candidates already in primaries running against other Republicans crying voter fraud saying they're, they, they stole this election. They stole this election. Rudy Giuliani out there this week talking to Steve Bannon, telling people the Democrats are already scheming to steal the 2020, uh, 2022 midterms with no evidence by the way to back it up. And that's what kills me about this. All these people saying, Nope, we, we shouldn't accept the results. Why though? Why? Show me a single piece of evidence here in the United States that suggested we should not trust our election results. They can't do it, but they don't need to do it because now they hold these preconceived notions about how elections actually work and about how rampant fraud actually is. It's not. And the vast majority of the people, by the way, that have been caught and arrested and charged for voter fraud, nearly all of them have been Republicans.

Maybe that's why Republicans are less likely to trust election results cuz they know what their own people are out there doing. But either way, folks, this, this is a bad side. Th this is not a good pull. This is not something that we should feel good about moving forward as a country. This is very dangerous. It's terrifying actually, because when those results start pouring in on this upcoming November night, you may end up with a majority of people in this country not believing any of it. And we saw what happened last time when a small gaggle of idiots didn't believe the election results. Just imagine what's gonna happen when you have half the country that doesn't believe what actually took place in the election is real.
