Rick Scott LOSES Leadership Race, Now Senate Republicans Want Him Investigated

Republican Senator Rick Scott is having a very bad weak. First he loses his challenge to Mitch McConnell to become the Republican leader in the Senate next year, and THEN he faced calls from members of his own Party to audit the NRSC, the fundraising arm of Republican Senators that he's run into the ground. There has been a ton of controversy over the group's spending since Scott took over 2 years ago, and Republicans are now demanding answers. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

In yesterday's exclusive members only video, I brought up the fact it wasn't the focus, but I brought up the fact that everybody seems to have forgotten that Republican Senator Rick Scott lost over a hundred million from the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and Republicans demanded answers and basically never got them. Everybody seems to have forgotten about that. I said, well, turns out I was wrong. Because there is one group of people that do remember that, and that actually happens to be Republicans in the Senate during a massive three hour angry back and forth this week in the Republican area of the Senate where they're all fighting with each other. This week, multiple Republican senators got so frustrated with Rick Scott that they said, you know what, Rick Scott, it is time that we have a full audit of the National Republican Senatorial Committee so we can find out where the hell over a hundred million went.

Because you were the one in charge of that money. You blew 95% of it by the beginning of September of this year. Where did it go? Let's have an audit. So Republicans didn't forget the Republican party by September 1st had raised 181.5 million in that, uh, national Republican Senatorial Committee, the N rsc, and 95% of it was already gone. And by the time Republicans realized that and asked Rick Scott, Hey, where's the money? They turned around. He was on a luxury yacht on the vacation off the coast of Italy. So he basically fled the country to avoid having to answer those questions. When he came back, everybody had moved on or so we thought. So republicans are saying, oh hell no, Rick, you lost a lot of money. We want answers. And Rick Scott has tried to write it off. He's like, listen, listen, I've only been in charge of this group for two years, and when I came in, what I saw was that they were spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on bonuses a year, you know, for staffers and other people.

They're giving 'em hundreds of thousands. That's where your money went. Rick Scott said, that makes no sense. And by the way, that's exactly what republicans in the Senate said. Like, okay, so if you're talking about stuff that happened like three or four years ago, how does that impact where the money we raised this year went? Do you follow me here? Like Rick Scott's like, well, three years ago they gave a bunch of bonuses, all right, whatever we raised 181 million this year. This year. Where did that go? We don't care where the money four years ago went, you idiot. Where did the money go when you took over two years ago? So Rick Scott, who by the way, happens to be a master at not answering

Questions about where the money went, if you're familiar with this history, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Rick Scott has now said, all right, fine. You wanna audit me? Well, guess what? I think we need to have an audit of Mitch McConnell's fundraising group. How about that? And of course, all the Rick Scott followers in the Senate say, yeah, let's audit Mitch McConnell's group because he didn't spend enough money helping senate Republicans this year. McConnell, of course, yesterday did win the vote. Uh, he is going to be the Republican leader next year. Rick Scott's bid failed. Um, but there's civil war.
