Donald Trump is never going to accept the blame for the GOP's poor showing in the midterms, and he's doing his best to make the rest of the Party deny reality, as well. According to reports, Trump is calling up his allies in Congress and begging them to publicly blame Mitch McConnell for the losses, falsely claiming that he left many Republicans out to dry by not giving them money. But the real blame should go towards Republican Senator Rick Scott, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

So by now I'm sure everybody has seen Donald Trump's posts on truth social, where he is just been kind of going crazy, attacking all the other Republicans out there, making sure, most importantly, that they do not run against him for the 2024 presidential nomination, but also making sure that they know that, uh, it's totally Mitch McConnell's fault, that Republicans didn't sweep the midterms this year. But he's not just saying that on true social. According to new reports, Donald Trump is getting on the phone. He's calling his Republican friends in the House and Senate. He's calling Republicans who won their elections and are not yet in Washington dc and he's telling them, Make sure you go out and publicly blame Mitch McConnell for what happened to Republicans in the midterms. Don't blame me. Totally not my fault, right? I'm just, I'm just a guy in Florida.

I I was playing golf. I don't even know what happened. You gotta blame Mitch McConnell because he's the guy. Trump says that cost Republicans the midterms because he starved our people of cash. He just, he, he wasn't given the money out. Now, that's a very interesting point, because as we know, there were areas of the country where the Republican party, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the N R S C, um, they had to cut back on spending. They did, they pulled money away from candidates who were in neck and neck races. They pulled money from Dr. Oz, they pulled money from Blake Masters, they pulled money from, uh, Alaska, and then they subsequently lost those elections. So the argument absolutely could be made that, yeah, the Senate pulling the money away from these candidates hurt them. So we should blame that person. But that person's not Mitch McConnell. Is it the person holding those purse strings for the Republican Senatorial campaign committee?

Is Rick Scott, the guy that Donald Trump wants to be the next Republican leader in the Senate. He's the one who controlled the money. He is the one who to this day, never gave us a clear answer about where the hell 120 million went. Remember that? Did multiple segments on that. Folks, let's not forget that Rick Scott was in charge of the money and the Republicans got when he started pulling it out of these races because it turned out there was no money left. He couldn't do it. So they all were like, Rick, where the f is the money. But they couldn't find Rick because he was on vacation on a luxury yacht off the coast of Italy. Do you remember that folks? Cuz that happened in August. And Trump is sitting here trying to get Republicans blame Mitch McConnell, blame Rick Scott. He's the guy that wasted your money. He's the guy that mishandled your money just like he did with his businesses. Although, I don't think, I don't think, I don't think

Rick Scott stole the money. I mean, I'd have to look at his finances, you know, but I, I, I don't think he's that, you know, brazen to just take the money and put it in his own account. I mean, come on, right? Somebody's gotta be looking over his shoulder to make sure that didn't happen. So I don't think that happened, but I do think Republicans need to keep asking those questions and they probably need to ask those questions before Rick Scott ends up taking over for Mitch McConnell.
