COVID Deaths Likely Played A BIG Role In Squashing Republicans' Red Wave

Republicans are trying to do a little soul searching following their gross defeat in the midterms, but one of the reasons they did so poorly has been glaringly obvious for quite some time: They killed their base. Another new study confirms that twice as many Republicans died from COVID than Democrats, and the authors of the study say that it is very likely this played a role in the midterm results. For many months. Now, you've likely heard me talk about the fact that in the midterms at that point, the upcoming midterms, now they're the midterms that happened last week. But one thing we would see is candidates outperforming the polling data on the Democratic side, because one thing that was not being taken into account was the fact that more Republicans had died from C than Democrats had. It's not a pleasant thought. It's not something I take any joy in. I didn't want anyone to die of C, but that was my prediction that I had been predicting it for months, and now a new report has come out and said, yep, that's pretty much what happened. Now, that's not the reason, only reason that Democrats prevented the red wave, but it is absolutely 100% a contributing factor. This new report from the National Bureau of Economic Research found that Republicans died at a rate twice as high as Democrats after vaccines for Covid became widely available in the summer of 2021.

So here's what happened. This is all according to the research which they matched up with, uh, uh, um, party affiliation and election records. So here's what happened. Prior to vaccines being available, Democrats and Republicans were dying at rates of covid that were basically dead. Even. You know, it wasn't a right wing disease, it wasn't a left wing disease. Covid was killing indiscriminately. But then in early 2021, when vaccines started rolling out, you know, you had to fight to get those appointments, but then a couple months later, you could just walk right in and get the vaccine. At that point, starting in the summer of 2021, the death rate for Democrats went down. The death rate for Republicans became twice as much as what it was for the Democrats. And yes, we know it's because of the Republican party's anti-vaccine policies fighting against it, telling people it was poison, spreading all these idiotic conspiracy theories, basically getting their people killed.

Also, telling them, don't wear masks. Be willy-nilly. Do whatever the hell you want, because nothing matters, right? Well, it did matter. Republicans are trying to do some soul searching right now. Like, oh, how did we not get that red wave? Why did it not materialize? What is it about us that people don't like? Well, it's obvious they don't like your policies. They don't like your attack on women. They don't like your culture war attacks on the LGBTQ community or the African American community, but also you sent a lot of them to an early grave. Dead people don't vote. I know Republicans love to tell you that dead people are voting, but they're not. And this midterm race proved that you killed your voters, and I'm willing to bet that cost you a handful of seats across the country.
