Republicans have spent the past few years attacking public education - and teachers, especially - as part of their ongoing assault on the LGBTQ+ community. And school districts have finally had enough, and they are working tirelessly to fight back against the onslaught of attacks, lies, and conspiracy theories that Republicans are spreading about our school systems. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Republicans have spent the last couple of years demonizing teachers attacking public education and basically telling us that these public schools across the country were nothing more than liberal indoctrination centers, where students were told that Republicans were bad and Democrats are good. And if you wanna be a different gender, were gonna make you do that. And also, if you want to pee in a litter box that's over there in the corner, and I wish I was making that last part up, but I'm not. So far this year, 20 different Republican candidates have publicly said that they know public schools in the areas where they're running are allowing children to identify as cats and letting them use litter boxes in the classroom.

And teachers, administrators, counties, they're getting. They're getting tired of the death threats that they're getting from crazed conservatives out there. They're getting tired of the harassment, they're getting tired of people showing up at school board meetings and causing a scene over things that don't actually exist. And the school boards are finally starting to fight back. The schools are fighting back. You know, last week we talked about the one out there in Colorado where they firmly came out and said, Nobody has a litter box in the entire school. Please stop spreading lies that are gonna get people hurt. Well, now we got another one in New Hampshire after Republican US Senate candidate Don Bolduc said that, I wish I was making it up when he started talking about kids in schools in New Hampshire using litter boxes. Um, school came out and had to issue this statement.

It has come to our attention that at a recent event in Claremont, Don Bullock named Pinkerton in false claims suggesting that Unhygienic disturbing practices are taking place in our classrooms and spaces on campus. We wanna assure our community that Mr. Bullock's statement are entirely untrue. We invite all political candidates to speak with members of our administration or visit our campus so they can inform themselves about our school before making claims about what occurs. Here. Again, 20 republicans across the country, co including Mr. Boldak here, have said that kids in schools are using litter boxes because they're le being allowed to identify as cats or furries of any kind. And I mentioned last week, and I'll mention it again just in case anybody missed it. Don't you think that if there were schools in this country where a teacher had placed a litter box for the students to use, don't you think the students would be going home and telling their parents, Oh my goodness, mommy, Daddy, you're not gonna believe what Susie did

In class today. We were learning math. She's over there dropping a deuce in a litter box. Don't you think that would've happened? Don't you think that somebody in the school, cuz most kids do have phones, would've taken a picture of the litter box? Something to have real evidence? Don't you think a parent visiting the class because they have open house parents are in and outta schools all day, every day? Don't you think one of them would've seen a litter box and said, Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold, hold up here. Why is there a litter box? But there's none. There's zero evidence to support any of these claims that children are going to the bathroom in a litter box in any school across the country.
