Election Deniers Got Completely Wiped Out In Arizona's Elections

Democrats scored more victories than most people realize on election day this year, and few places have seen as much winning for the Left than Arizona. From the governor, to the secretary of state, to the attorney general, to the US Senate race, Democrats prevailed and beat out election deniers to help protect the state in the future. The massive implication of these victories cannot be stressed enough, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

I think one of the things, and I know we've kind of talked about this, I know other people have kind of talked about this, but most of the focus of the midterms, right, has been on the House and the Senate. Those are the two big ones. A couple governor ships out there have been pretty big. But beyond that, everybody's kind of just moved on already, which is a bit of a mistake because I think the Democrats scored far more victories than they're truly getting credit for, right? You flipped both state houses in Michigan and you retained the governorship. Democrats now have a solid hold on the state of Michigan. That's fricking awesome. But the real miracle happened over in Arizona. Arizona, of course, since the 2020 election has been the hotbed for Republicans, right? They have challenged the election, they had the Cyber Ninja audit.

They had four other independent audits after the Cyber Ninja one Republicans election deniers running for every office in the state. Steve Bannon out there talking about the importance of taking those offices so that they could control the elections. And as of this week, the last election was finally called. It is going to a recount, so a little iffy, but it was called, and Democrats swept every election in the state of Arizona. Every one of them. They beat the election deniers. They won that US Senate. See? Right? Mark Kelly elected to another term defeating Blake Masters. Katie Hobbs beat Carrie Lake, an election denier, who is still denying the results of her election. We also had Democrat Adrian Fontes as the new Secretary of State beating Mark Fin, who is an election denier that the Republicans had been pushing very, very hard to become Secretary of States, so that he, mark Finchem would get to call the shots in the elections and possibly, you know, make sure that Republicans don't lose again.

But now they don't have that because a Democrat won that seat. Also, the Attorney General, which is the race that was called this re weak, uh, Democrat, Chris Mays, uh, beat Republican rival Abraham Hamada. Now that is the one that goes to a recount. So Chris Hayes has not won that election yet. She likely will stay ahead as the recount moves forward, but we have to wait and see. But however, like here's the thing. Democrats swept the state. Eight Democrats swept the state of Arizona, and that was the place where Republicans were laser focused. That was the place where Republicans were spending so much money because they put all their eggs in that basket. They didn't wanna see this state go blue, but it did. It went even bluer than we could have hoped for. But more importantly, they prevented the voters and the party prevented the election deniers from taking over the state's elections. They preserved the sanctity of the elections in the state of Arizona. And for

That, the voters definitely deserve the credit. But the Democratic Party prevailing on these issues. The candidates prevailing beating back these election deniers, they deserve so much credit to. That's a big, massive victory in Arizona that prevents fascism from spreading in this country. So take a moment everybody, and appreciate what the Democratic Party was able to do there and learn from it. More importantly, let's learn from it and let's try it in some other states, hopefully with the same results in 2024.
