YouTube Description
as posted by the channelElon Musk has taken to berating advertisers, like Apple, on Twitter, and that plan is working just as well as you would expect it to. Musk's version of Twitter is losing advertisers left and right, with many more putting ads on pause just so they don't have to deal with the chaos that he's created. His defenders claim that he's playing 3D chess, but the rest of the world just sees a recently-divorced man who is going through some serious problems. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter and Tesla and SpaceX has decided that he has a new enemy. And that new enemy happens to be the multi-trillion dollar company. Apple, earlier this week, Elon Musk got on Twitter, claimed that Apple and Google, of course, were threatening to pull Twitter from their app stores. And then he suggested, based on somebody's comment that maybe he'll make his own phone a Tesla phone so that you can still get your, uh, your Twitter fix. And then he continued, he went on for a couple days about how Apple's suspending their advertisements. Oh, and they're taking 30% of everything sold from the app store, which I didn't know. People didn't know that. Like how do you, how do you think they make the money? Like that's what they do. But anyway, Musk has launched a war against Apple and he thinks that this war against Apple and other advertisers that have left the site is somehow going to help him.
But the truth is, since Elon Musk took over, uh, 50 of the top 100 advertisers on Twitter have paused or suspended outright all of their ads on the platform. And there's lots of reasons why. The most obvious, of course, is that hate and extremism has taken over, right? We're not doing any content moderation. If that's what you want, fine, but you also have to live with the consequences of that. You made a choice that has consequences, Elon and all your little fanboy online, you don't get to get pissy when those consequences come back and bite you in the. That's how life works. So if you don't wanna moderate content, that's your choice to not do it. You have every right to do that. And these companies have every single right to say, we're done with you. We're not gonna advertise. Cuz I don't want my tweets showing up next to an antisemitic tweet. I don't want my ad to show up right below a homophobic tweet, so I'm not gonna do it. And by the way, that's what the major advertising agencies are telling these big companies. It's not necessarily the companies making these decisions. It's the ad agency saying, this is gonna look bad for you.
That's the obvious reason, and that's the one that everybody's talking about. But there's another reason, and this one gets ignored because this one shows how stupid Elon Musk really is. One of the big reasons a lot of advertisers are pulling outta Twitter right now is because, because Musk fired a lot of the people in charge of handling the, the advertisements. So these big companies that used to have literally a direct line into Twitter, they had their own representative with Twitter that they could call, they could email,
They, they could text. Those people are gone. So a lot of these companies, and mostly the ad agencies are saying, we no longer have a point of contact. Like we don't even know how to get ads going again on Twitter because this dumb fired everybody and didn't bother to replace 'em. Oh, he's taken out the woke mind virus. No, he is not. He's taking out business people that understand business, which he does not. And now you've, you've torpedoed your own project here, so you don't get to be pissy about it. You don't get to get on Twitter and try to shame these advertisers into coming back because most of them couldn't come back if they wanted to because you fired all the people in charge of handling the ads.
