YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAccording to reports, there could be even more Republicans - moderates this time - that aren't happy with Kevin McCarthy and might vote against him as the next House speaker. While no names have been mentioned, the reports suggest that McCarthy's inability to keep his caucus in line is the main reason the defections could occur. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

So something interesting happened yesterday. I came across on multiple different websites, uh, left, right center, whatever they are, multiple different websites saying that Kevin McCarthy may be losing more support in his bid to become speaker of the House. Now, we already know that Matt Gates has his little gang of five that is adamantly opposed to Kevin McCarthy becoming the Republican speaker of the House. Matt Gates is out there flexing his muscle. We're not gonna let this happen. I want my buddy Jim Jordan in there, and nobody's really going along with the gang of five. But all these reports say that Uhoh, we're hearing that more Republicans are on the fence about whether or not to support McCarthy as speaker. And by the way, he only has a week to kind of shore up these votes before he doesn't get it, or before it drags on and makes Republicans look even more incompetent. But I bring all that up to mention this because I read through all those reports. I read through the Republican reports, I read through the left's reports on this and, and not a single one. Did it mention any name of any Republican lawmaker that has actually said, Nope. You know what? I don't support him. Now,
It's all speculation. It's all hearsay. Oh, there's rumors that in the back rooms you have some of the moderate Republicans that aren't happy with McCarthy. They're, they're not sure about his policy positions and they're getting no guarantees out of him. So they might might end up not supporting him next week.
This is BS and it's BS that other media outlets picked up this story and ran with it. It's based on nothing. And that's what me off here. Again, this was the top story on the Hill yesterday, right? One of the biggest political websites in the country. It was their main featured story called Time is Running Short from McCarthy to Lock up Speakership. And then in their four page report, they didn't list a single Republican that's actually said, yeah, I'm, I'm switching from a yes to a maybe all they're reporting on is that someone heard someone else say that someone may not be happy with what's happening here.
Stories like this folks absolutely me off because it shows how lazy the media has become in this country. So it turns out this isn't really a story about Kevin McCarthy at all. It's not even a story about Matt Gaetz and his Gang of five. It's a story about how the media will run with anything because they had a slow news day. And shame on those left media outlets for reporting on this crap as well. Unless you can give me names, unless you can give me actual aids who say I am a part of these conversations and they are happening, then I'm not gonna buy this piece of crap. Now, here is what we do know. Kevin McCarthy has been working round the clock. He's been meeting with these Republicans. He's basically been giving up the farm. He's telling people like Marjorie Taylor Greene and other people of her, you know, caliber, whatever you guys wanna investigate, you go and investigate.
As long as you support me, I'll support your investigations no matter how stupid they are. You got it over here with the moderate Republicans that actually say, Hey, we probably need to legislate. He's saying, cool, whatever you wanna bring to the floor, let me know. We'll bring it to the floor. Your legislation takes priority. I'm gonna make that happen as long as you support me.
