YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAfter he appeared to buck Donald Trump on Tuesday by calling his endorsement of Kevin McCarthy "sad," Matt Gaetz decided to try to get back on the former president's good side by publicly humiliating himself and voting for Trump to be the Speaker. Gaetz was not joined by ANYONE ELSE, but that didn't stop him from tweeting out a picture of Trump holding the Speaker's gavel and standing at a podium. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this pathetic display from Gaetz.

Yesterday, Matt Gaetz voted multiple times for Donald Trump to be the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Now, nobody else in the house joined Matt Gaetz on his little crusade to kiss Donald Trump's. But there is a very clear reason why Matt Gaetz had to do this. As you'll recall, on Wednesday morning, Donald Trump came out on Truth Social, told all Republicans, which included Matt Gates, go and vote for Kevin McCarthy in this insanity Gates referred to Donald Trump's comments, the endorsement as sad on Wednesday, and then I guess he went home and realized, oh crap, I've off the big guy as he likes to call him. So Thursday he comes in and tries to suck up to Donald Trump a little bit more, humiliates himself on the national stage, nominating Trump voting for him, for Speaker of the House, not getting any of his other Freedom Caucus freaks to vote for him, and then to make it a little worse, you know, just to really show that he is kissing that as hard as possible.
Gates gets on Twitter and sends out this picture that, uh, I, I guess somebody put together of Trump at the podium holding the speaker's gavel, with the phrase, let's go. Yeah, let's go, let's go away. How about that Matt Gaetz? That's what you need to do, and that's what Donald Trump needs to do, and that's what all of your kissing needs to do. It's very transparent what you're doing here. You were worried that you Trump off on Wednesday by one, not listening to him. Two, calling him sad. So Thursday you're trying to make up for it and show him like, I still love you. You're still the greatest. Oh, I, I want you to be speaker. That's why I'm not listening to you to support Kevin because I wanted to be you.
You are beyond pathetic, and what's even more pathetic is that you think people don't see exactly what you're doing. At least the other members of the Freedom Caucus had enough dignity to not follow a log with your idiotic charade. They are sticking to their guns and not listening to Donald Trump and not kissing his butt anymore. But Matt Gates just can't help himself. This is who he is. This is what he does. He always wants to latch himself on to somebody that has more power than he does, kind of like Lindsay Graham. And I do think that Lindsay Graham is a great analogy for Matt Gates. That is your future. Matt, look over on that Senate side. Look at Lindsay Graham because that's where you're headed. Oh, you'll probably be in office for a long time, but she'll never have the power you want. So you will continue to be this congressional remora, latching yourself onto the bigger fish so that you can get a couple of the scraps.
