Donors Are PISSED OFF That Republicans Look Like Such Idiots

The fights that took place on the first day of the new Republican majority in the House has left GOP donors furious. According to a report from CNN, the donors are angry because these fights are making Republicans look like complete idiots, which could severely hurt the donors' chances of getting their wishes fulfilled in the future. The chaos that unfolded this week in the House of Representatives with Republican on Republican verbal violence towards one another, Kevin McCarthy not being able to secure his speakership on day one. Um, all of that was widely mocked by pretty much everybody in this country. Republicans included the folks at Fox News nonstop on Tuesday talking about how terrible these Republicans are. Childish is a word that kept being used to describe their behavior. But according to a Capitol Hill reporter, it's not just the voters out there. It's not just Fox News. It's not just the average casual news consumer that's disgusted by the Republican's behavior this week. The donors are apparently, according to her, furious about what they have seen from the Republican Party in just the first couple of days that they have been in power. So let me read this quote. This is from, uh, a Capitol Hill reporter, Melanie Zona, who spoke to Jake Tapper on cnn. She said, quote, as this vote has been dragging on the anger and frustration inside the G O P is really growing. I talked to one G o p lawmaker who supports McCarthy, and they're hearing from G o p donors and constituents back home that the party looks stupid for not being able to elect a speaker.

The reason this matters, of course, is because the Republican party can't survive without their donors, right? I mean, that's the only reason we've pretty much even still have a Republican party today is these wealthy millionaires and billionaires keeping them afloat, buying elections for them. Without that, they're done. This also builds on another poll that came out recently that said that the turmoil within the Republican party, 44% of Republican voters out there are now unwilling to give the party money because of their poor showing in the 2022 midterms. So it's not even just the big money donors that are furious behind the scenes and calling up these Republicans saying, dude, get your crap together because I'm getting. If you can't work together, you can't pass my billionaire agenda and give me all the things I want. It's not just them. Almost half of those average everyday working class Republicans are saying, I'm not gonna send you my $10. I'm not gonna give you my $20. I'm not gonna give you anything anymore because you guys are really bad at this. I still support you, but you're gonna have to continue on without my financial support, is what we're hearing from Republican constituents. So the situation is bad, right? It's not just comical that Republicans can't get their act together. It is damaging them.

It's damaging them with their big donors. It's damaging them with their small donors, and that could create even more chaos within the Republican party, especially seeing as how the race for, you know, the 2024 house seats, it's pretty much already begun. Now we're back in another election cycle. We've got more Republicans that are gonna be announcing presidential runs in the very near future. We're in it, but the Republican donors right now are not.
