3:44Like many other conservatives, Tucker Carlson predicted sweeping victories for Republicans in the 2022 midterms - a prediction that was about as wrong as possible. In an interview with Charlie Kirk this past week, Carlson admitted that his hatred of liberals clouded his judgement, suggesting that he hates liberals so much that he's blind to the reality all around him. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what this means.

Turning Points. U s a founder Charlie Kirk in mid-December did an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Turning Points released that interview this week. It was, it was Kirk interviewing Carlson. And during this interview, Tucker Carlson explained why he projected the midterms so incredibly incorrectly. And according to Tucker, it's because of his hatred of liberals that blinded or clouded, I guess his judgment. He just hates liberals so darn much that he couldn't see a future in this country where they had any chance of winning an election, I guess, because he thought, everybody, I hate them, so everybody else must hate them. So Republicans are gonna sweep the midterms, everything's gonna be great. Now, of course, as we all know, that didn't happen. But let me read to you what Carlson said here. Well, this is just a snippet of it that loathing clouded my judgment.
I was like, I dislike these people so much. What they're doing is so wrong. It is helping so few people and hurting so many, it's so immoral on every level that I just want it to be repudiated. And I wanted that so much, not because I like re the Republicans. I really dislike them more than I ever have, but I dislike the other side more. I did learn that, like I have no freaking idea what goes on in American politics. Huh? That's a, that's, that's a pretty big admission right there from somebody who spends every day talking about on a primetime, cable news show politics. And you're like, I got no idea. I have no, I have no freaking clue. Who are these people? You're the highest rated cable news talk show host, admitting one that you hate liberals. And two, you, you have no idea what's going on in politics.
Like you don't understand it. Honestly, it's not shocking. You don't seem like a very smart person to me. I know you've got a good education, but you just, eh, kinda seem like maybe you're not really paying attention. You're a little too vain. I, I feel to really pay attention to anything other than yourself. But, uh, yeah. Now here's what gets me about this. It's no secret, right? The Tucker Carlson hates liberals, and I don't buy for a second that, oh, I just like Republicans so much too. No, you don't. You're a liar. Here's the thing, imagine for a second if Rachel Maddow did an interview and she said, I just hate conservatives so much, do you know what happened on the right? They'd be calling for MSNBC to fire her. Immediately they would say, get this woman off the air. She is blinded by her hatred. Same thing. If Jake Tapper were to come out and say, you know what? I just hate conservatives so
Darn much, and that clouds my judgment. Same thing calls for him to be fired. Tucker Carlson does this. I guarantee you Republicans are gonna say, that's my hero. That's my boy, because that's all they care about, hating the other side and then weaponizing that hate to attack.
