According to new reports, Donald Trump has four women on his list of possible VP picks, and they are pretty much all equally horrible. At the top of the list is failed Republican candidate Kari Lake, but the reports say that Trump is worried she would "outshine" him on the campaign trail. Other names include Nikki Haley, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains why these people are at the top of his list.

Axios is reporting that Donald Trump has apparently put together a short list of his possible vice presidential picks for his 2024 ticket. And the list is beyond terrifying. Sitting at the very top of that list, to nobody's surprise, is Kari Lake, the woman who lost her election, but she swears she didn't lose it and is losing in court repeatedly. trying to fight. It is of course Trump's top pick at the moment, but there is a problem they have with Kari Lake. It's not that she's challenging the election results in Arizona, it's that they're worried. This, according to the report, they're worried Kari Lake could outshine Donald Trump. She's a little more charismatic. She's obviously a little bit younger, she's more energetic, and so they don't want somebody that's gonna make Donald Trump look like the, uh, opening act. So that's why they're a little leery with Kari Lake.

They love the fact that she has, you know, absolutely stood up for Donald Trump. At every possible turn, she is literally acting just like him by denying election results. So she would be the ideal pick. Plus Trump thinks she's very attractive. So that is the kind of woman that Donald Trump would want on his ticket unless she outshines him. The other names being floated are freshly minted Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, which I think it's funny, like I'm laughing at that because Trump's team is too stupid to understand that she is kind of universally hated outside of red states. So she will do absolutely nothing for you to help secure up your suburban women vote, which is why, by the way, everybody on Trump's shortlist is a woman. They need a woman to soften his image. They think it'll help. He lost suburban women by nine points in 2020.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders ain't the person to shore up that vote. Then you have South Dakota Governor Christie Nome, who of course is a very hard right governor, but has not gotten the same kind of headlines as you know, Ron DeSantis or Greg Abbott. Um, she's kind of flown a little bit under the radar, except in some of the most extreme instances, like the issue with her daughter and her real estate appraiser's license that just kind of disappeared and everybody forgot about that massive scandal that really should have resulted in her getting removed from office. But hey, she's still there. She just won her reelection and she is, uh, I think probably one of the strongest contenders to be Trump's vp. And then of course you also have Nikki Haley,

Which is weird, right? Because cuz Nikki Haley's already running for president. She's, she's already out there and she's been attacking Trump. Could all of that, could Nikki Haley's campaign just be a ploy to siphon votes away from other Republicans who might be able to beat Trump in the primary, thereby ensuring his victory? That's a real possibility. That is absolutely a possibility. Nikki, if you run, I'll make you my VP because you're gonna suck away enough normal Republicans from these other folks like Ron DeSantis to where I can cruise to an easy victory. Once that happens, you become my vp. We're in. That would be a smart strategy, diabolical. It's, you know, dishonest, but that's Trump. So anything is possible at this point. Not to mention the advantage that Nikki Haley has, because she is officially running for president. She's already out there getting to know everybody.
