Rupert Murdoch Could Be In Huge Legal Trouble After New Court Filing Revealed

Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch could be in very big legal trouble at this point after more legal filings from Dominion have been revealed. Specifically, the latest filings released show that Murdoch admitted he was trying to help the Trump campaign by giving yet-to-air Biden ads to Jared Kushner, which will likely be viewed as an in-kind campaign contribution due to this admission. Thanks to unsealed Court filings this week that were once again a part of the Dominion Voting System's defamation lawsuit against Fox News. Uh, we learned that we've got intent. Specifically, I am referring to Rupert Murdoch, the owner of Fox News, handing Jared Kushner Unaired ads from the then Biden campaign so that Kushner and the Trump campaign could craft talking points, craft counter ads before those ads even went to the public. And of course, Murdoch only got his hands on those ads because he owns a TV network here in the us. And as I said, the court filings this week gave us intent because according to what Rupert Murdoch told the interviewers during his deposition, he wanted to help the Trump campaign. Let me read this. Murdoch said of Jared Kushner, he's a friend of mine. And then the attorneys asked, you were trying to help the Trump campaign by giving him a preview of the Biden campaign's ads before it was public, right?

Murdoch answered, I guess so in any criminal case, which this is not yet a criminal case, by the way, the f e c has not taken action against Rupert Murdoch. Uh, they have received a, a lawsuit from Media Matters to take action against Murdoch, but so far they have not. But if this rises to a criminal investigation, that statement right there from Rupert Murdoch, yes, I did this to help them, that's intent. Now you're screwed if it goes to a criminal investigation because you can't argue that you did it because you thought you were supposed to. You're already on record under oath saying that you did it to help your friend. And as we all know, you only got your hands on it because you were the president of the network. Now, Fox's lawyers have actually tried a very interesting legal strategy here. They're trying to argue that No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Listen, Rupert Murdoch didn't give him an UN-air ad. He, uh, he gave him an ad that was already available on YouTube, so he just, you know, basically sent him a YouTube link, right? Yeah. Because I'm sure Jared Kushner hadn't already seen that. So I'm sure Rupert Murdoch would be one of those people scroll on YouTube being like, oh, wow. Hey, Jared, check out this vid, l o l. Nope, I don't believe that for a second, especially since in his own deposition, he was asked, you were trying to help the Trump campaign by giving him a preview of the Biden campaign's ads before it was public. And once again, Murdoch replied, right? I guess so. So Fox's own lawyers, their argument that No, no, no. He gave 'em an ad that was already aired. Well, he said under oath that he gave them an ad that had not been aired.

So which is it? Did he lie under oath, which is also not legal? Or did he give them that in-kind campaign contribution of sharing an ad that hadn't aired? Either way, you're effed like hardcore screwed yourself over here, Rupert, and I don't know how you get out of this. The only way you get out of this, of course, is if they don't bring criminal charges. But we've either got perjury or an illegal campaign contribution. Take your pick folks, because he ought to go down for at least one of those.
