Donald Trump is continuing his assault on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis this week by claiming that Ron DeSantis signature achievement, right? Taking on Disney and winning was all a hoax to portray himself as Trump. Put it as Mr. Tuf guy. Here is what Donald Trump said about Ron DeSantis on truth social. Ron Des Sanctimonious totally caved in his public relations inspired battle with Disney. That's the only reason he went after them in the first place to show Mr. Tough Guy Disney maintained complete exemption from property and sales tax, tax free bonds, and their incredible fast track permitting. They also gave big political contributions to DeSantis. The whole thing is a hoax. They probably worked together to make him look like a fighter. Now, do I think Disney conspired with Ron DeSantis saying, Hey, here's what we're gonna do to ensure you get more power. I don't think that happened.

And Disney, you know, they're not exempt from sales tax and things like that. That's very stupid. But the rest of what Trump said, he's not wrong. And his whole thing that this is a hoax. I agree because I've said that for many, many weeks now, look, one of the top funders of Ron DeSantis recent inaugural Ball, his second one of course as governor here, was funded by lobbyists for Disney. So Disney's own people went and gave Ron DeSantis a ton of money so he could have a big inaugural party. You don't do that if you hate the guy. You don't accept their money if you hate them, because DeSantis did not have to accept it. But that little like, Hey, we're still gonna fund your thing. Ah, it's cool. I'm still gonna take the money. Yeah, that kind of shows there really isn't that much bad blood between the two entities.

So that should have been the first big red flag for anybody thinking Ron DeSantis is making a stand by taking on Disney. And yes, Disney does still get a lot of their exemptions. You know, they've got their fast track permitting as Donald Trump, uh, explained. Basically, nothing changes with Disney other than they don't get to control the board. Ron DeSantis now does, and yes, he put some extremists there. We don't know what they're gonna do, but I'm willing to bet at the end of the day when all this dust settles, nothing is going to change for Disney. So, again, Trump's right, but what really concerns me, again, I've talked about these things. What concerns me is that Trump has to go out there and put these things into the ether instead of the media actually pointing these things out. This is all readily available information. You know, again, I've talked about this.

Why wasn't the corporate media out there talking about this? Why weren't they pointing out, wait a minute, he's still getting money from them. Wait a minute, they still have all their privileges. This wasn't a victory for him at all. It was a battle that mainly took place on paper. Folks. It doesn't matter what DeSantis said publicly, it doesn't matter that Disney kept their mouth shut and didn't wanna say much. It was all an act to make DeSantis look like as Trump put it, Mr. Tough Guy. Having said that, we'll see how it plays out nationally. I don't think anything changes here in the state of Florida. I don't even think if the people here knew what a, what a sham this is, they'd even care. But if Donald Trump can make this a national story and show what a fraud DeSantis is, then that's a good thing.
