In case you were curious about how low the bar has been set for Donald Trump, Fox News host Brian Kilmeade praised the twice-impeached former president this week for no longer having lunch with white supremacists. Kilmeade claims that we're now seeing a new, more "disciplined" Trump, which only seems true if you haven't been paying attention to anything he's done recently. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

In case you were wondering how low the bar has been set for Donald Trump with basically just being able to act like a normal non-offensive human being. Fox News host Brian Kil Mead came out this week and laid it out for us how Donald Trump is suddenly acting more disciplined because he is no longer having lunch with white supremacists. Apparently that's the bar like, in order to just be considered a normal person, all Trump has to do is not sit down and have a cheeseburger with white nationalists. So here is Brian killed on Fox News this week explaining how Trump is so much more disciplined now because he's a little more choosy about who he has lunch with. Here he is,
Since he went and visited East Palestine, uh, stopped having lunch with white supremacists, uh, and has got a very disciplined message. According to the Emerson Poll, he's got 73%, uh, uh, approval rating among, uh, Republicans with high school, with high school degrees or below, and he's winning in almost every state outside California. And I'll add this to it, it would be interesting if he does not win Iowa. And you go to, and, and Governor Sununu gets into New Hampshire and Governor Sun is so popular winning three terms, his governor there, he could be out and on a, on a bit of a roll. This is the most disciplined I've ever seen him, even compared to 2016.
So that's really all you gotta do. You just gotta not go have a meal with white supremacist. Then suddenly you are a super disciplined, really serious candidate for president. Oh, you also, he went to East Palestine, Ohio, so of course he's, he's back on track, right? Let's forget about the fact that he turned the whole thing into a campaign rally, didn't appear to care about the victims at all, gave them bottled water that's been sitting in a warehouse for a decade. Yeah, totally cool things that Trump has done, but you know, he's, he's not acting out anymore. I guess Brian Kil Mead wants to think, and I understand how somebody could listen to what Brian Kil Mead says right there and say, oh, he's right. Trump is more disciplined than ever, but in order to believe that, you would have to ignore literally every single thing Donald Trump has done within the last six months because he's not more disciplined.
Just a couple days ago he went on a rant on truth social, where he called every prosecutor investigating him a racist said they're racist against white people. So he, he may not be dining with white supremacists, but he's sure as hell out there spouting white supremacist talking points that black people are somehow racist towards white people. So you didn't really connect those dots there, did you, Brian? And not to mention the fact that he's out there trashing all of the other Republicans. He's trashing the Democrats, he's trashing the investigations.
