Particularly people are pointing out his claim that he was "culturally raised in the midwest" while actually being raised in Tampa, Florida. DeSantis specifically named Pennsylvania and Ohio - two vital swing states - as places where his cultural values came from. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is getting slammed on social media this week, not just for his, uh, you know, swipe at Donald Trump over the hush money payment, but also for a claim in his new book where he appears to engage. And I guess what you would call cultural appropriation. Here is what DeSantis wrote in his new autobiography, this is so dumb and it's the most pathetic pandering I've ever seen. I was geographically raised in Tampa Bay, but culturally, my upbringing reflected the working class communities in Western Pennsylvania and northeast Ohio from weekly church attendance to the expectation that one would earn his keep. This made me God-fearing, hardworking, and America loving.

If you were to tell one of those AI chatbots to come up with the most pandering America hell yes sentence in the world, it would be that, like, that would literally be what AI would come up with to be this over exaggerated. God. I love America and God so much. And that's what Rhon DeSantis literally wrote in his book. And of course, as I said, social media is having a field day with it. Some users have pointed out the fact that, oh, so you were born one thing, but you identify later in life as something else. Interesting. Seeing is how you're trying to make that illegal in the state of Florida. But most people have, of course, pointed out that this is straight up pandering. Obviously, Pennsylvania and Ohio are two massive swing states here in the United States. Um, especially if Ron DeSantis would run for higher office, it would probably come down to Ohio and Pennsylvania.

So of course he's gotta be out there saying like, Ohio, Pennsylvania, I may be in Florida, but I identify with you. That's where my upbringing was. Not necessarily geographically, but, but up here, man. I'm Ohio and Pennsylvania, born and bred, right? Well, his parents are from Pennsylvania and Ohio. His mom, uh, uh, uh, uh, I don't know who is from which, but mom and dad, one from Ohio, one from Pennsylvania. Um, but you were born and raised in the state of Florida. So when you talk about things like, oh, going to church every week, that's from Ohio and Pennsylvania. Dude, you live in the Bible Belt, like that, that's not a uniquely Pennsylvania or Ohio thing. Going to church once a week. I mean, you could say the same thing if you were born in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, Florida. So why even bring that up, other than of course, your pathetic attempted pandering and trying to pull the wool over all these idiot's eyes out there. But here's the thing I love about this. DeSantis is just getting smacked around by every possible faction in this country.

The left is smacking around over his little cultural appropriation of the Midwest and the swing states. The right is smacking him around for not defending Donald Trump enough. They're also smacking him around for the increased rate of crime we are seeing here in the state of Florida during spring break. Ron DeSantis cannot catch a break. Oh, and let's also not forget that he's also getting smacked around by the courts, who once again in the past week reaffirmed that his, uh, anti c r t legislation cannot apply to colleges. So, hasn't been a very good week for Ron DeSantis. I know Trump's week is probably a little bit worse, but as usual, Trump is having a horrible week. But Ron DeSantis is right behind him having a terrible one.
