Jim Jordan Gets Called Out During Weaponization Hearing For Weaponizing Government To Protect Trump

Jim Jordan got a healthy dose of the pot calling the kettle black during a hearing late last week, when Democratic Representative Linda Sanchez called out the Committee Chair for holding a weaponization hearing while he's actually trying to weaponize the government to protect Donald Trump. Late last week, Republican representative Jim Jordan, the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, which pains me to say it every time I have to say, that was holding another one of his weaponization of the federal government hearings when Democratic representative Linda Sanchez got a moment on the microphone to blast Jordan for, of course, doing the very thing that he is actually accusing Democrats of doing and weaponizing the federal government to protect his favorite politician, which is Donald Trump. So here is what Linda Sanchez had to say, you know, my colleagues on the other side of the aisle keep shouting that the Biden White House somehow influenced a private company to take down disinformation in 2020 before a Biden White House even existed. Chairman Jordan wanted to make this point so badly that he had the two Republican attorneys General who began this sham lawsuit come in and make five minute statements where they could make all kinds of wild allegations, and then he let them scurry away so nobody could ask them any questions about their claims.

But I really wanna focus on, uh, is the fact that this hearing really isn't about social media companies, and it's really not about covid deniers. It's not even about Elon Musk. It's about protecting former President Donald Trump. And I'd like to spend a few minutes looking at what congressional Republicans are doing to try to keep him out of legal trouble. And of course then she went on and explained everything that, you know, the rest of us have already been paying attention to. Uh, kudos and congratulations by the way, to representative Linda Sanchez. It was a very powerful statement, and it was the absolute truth. We have Republicans sitting in Washington DC right now trying to convince the American public that the Democrats weaponize the federal government to protect themselves by pressuring other outside groups.

I see that that didn't actually happen. If you look at the words, even the ones that have been revealed via the so-called Twitter files, it, it doesn't say what they're trying to pretend that it says that revolves around a very loose interpretation of certain words and meanings. So it's all very stupid. But what we do know right now is that Republicans on that Judiciary Committee, of course, led by Jim Jordan, are trying to interfere with a prosecution of the Manhattan District Attorney, uh, Alvin Bragg in his office. They have been calling relentlessly. It actually got to the point last week where Jim Jordan was having his staffers call the DA's office so frequently, basically to tie them up and distract them, that the office had to just start hanging up on these people. Jim Jordan himself is interfering with what is happening in that Manhattan DA's office, his letter to the DA

Where he demanded he come in and, and you speak to this committee and you give us all of your evidence, which is a violation of New York State law. Alvin Brad couldn't do that, even if he wanted to. And of course, Brad didn't want to and sent back a scathing letter. They, his office had to send another scathing letter. By the way, this past Friday, where're an attorney at that office, I believe Leslie, uh, Kubek said that the committee was engaging in quote, unlawful political interference. That's what Jim Jordan has been accused of, unlawful political interference. So when is that judiciary committee gonna look at the weaponization of themselves? Because that's what's happened.
