Republican Insanity May Have Turned Arizona Blue For Years To Come

The Republican Party is finally willing to admit that they are having a very difficult time attracting Independent voters, and nowhere is that more evidence than in the state of Arizona. And a recent survey of Arizona Independents found that they may not be too fond of Democrats, but they really DESPISE the Republican Party right now. And for good reason: Arizona has been in the national spotlight for three years due to Republican insanity, and Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains why that has pushed so many Independents away from the GOP.

Republican extremism is costing them independence across the country. Uh, in fact, Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the R N C, actually admitted that earlier this week. That's what they found with their autopsy report. Like, yeah, we're not winning over independence. And according to a recent report by the New York Times, nowhere is the Republican party losing more independence than in the state of Arizona. Now, Arizona has been in the national spotlight obviously ever since. The results of the 2020 election began trickling in, it was the call for Arizona by Fox News that really sent Donald Trump on the downward spiral that he's still on today, and turned a lot of Republicans against Arizona. So as a result of that, Arizona, again, putting itself in the national spotlight, decided to hire cyber ninjas to conduct one of, I think five or six different ballot audits that the state performed, all of which proved that Biden still won the state.

And then after all that was buried, they're like, okay, good. No more Stupidness out of Arizona. And then along came Carrie Lake, who put Arizona back in the national spotlight is challenging her loss in the 2022 gubernatorial race. So Arizona Republicans really not having a good couple years with the whole country focused on how stupid they look. And as the New York Times points out, this has had a tremendous effect, not just on independence in the state, but on Republican voters as well. Let me read a couple of quotes from several different Republican, former Republican and independent voters in the state of Arizona that the New York Times talked to. The entire Republican party went so far to the right. Donald Trump changed all that for me, the way things are now. There's no way I'd vote for a Republican different voter. Um, he left the G O P because of Trump. He says, quote, I think we have bigger problems than just Trump being reelected. Polarization in this country is just fierce. I believe in looking at some of the new third parties popping up.

Interesting. So you're done with the Republicans, but you're also not a big fan of the Democrats. All right. Another voter says, I'll get to the polls and get everybody out to the polls too. It's very important that Trump does not get back in. That was an independent voter. So you've got Republicans that have turned to third parties, Republicans that have turned squarely against the Republican party and some who are saying, I don't know who I'm gonna vote for, but I'll tell you right now, it's not gonna be a Republican. And all of this is due to the extremism of the Republican party. And by extremism, I'm not just talking about their horrible position on all of the issues, right? Gun control environment, abortion,

Uh, uh, tax on the L G BT Q communities. It's not just that. It's the insanity that that party has brought to the state of Arizona making their own voters big. Y'all are nuts. Like not only are your policies horrible, but y'all actually just seem legitimately crazy. And I don't wanna be in the party of crazy. I don't wanna be the party of sore losers that wanna rehash our election losses every two weeks. I want to move on and I want to have this state be normal again. But we can't be normal again if the Republicans are in charge. That's what these voters are saying. So the once reliably red state of Arizona, thanks to Republican insanity might be shifting blue for many years to come.
