Even though Gaetz said that DeSantis didn't say anything wrong, he still lashed out and said that the leaker was "disloyal" and that they "deserve" the reputation they get, whatever that means. Over the weekend, a, B, C news released leaked footage of Ron DeSantis 2018 debate prep, where he was being coached by none other than Republican Congressman Matt Gates. Gates was a part of Ron DeSantis 2018 team, and he was in charge of the debate prep. And in this debate prep video that was shown Gates, as I guess the moderator slash opponent asked Ron DeSantis, is there any issue upon which you disagree with President Trump? And then Ron DeSantis kind of stumbled around and he was like, whoa, I, I've really gotta think about this one, because he understood like, I don't want to off the MAGA base, but I also don't want to off Donald Trump, but I also want to make sure that I appeal enough to the moderates. So he didn't quite know how to answer that yet, which in his defense, which is something I'd never had a thought I'd have to say.

Um, that's normal. That's why you have the prep so that you can get questions and then you can sit there and be like, okay, whoa, that one I don't know the answer to yet. Honestly, it wasn't even newsworthy. I wouldn't be talking about it right now if it weren't for the fact that Matt Gates absolutely flipped his lid when this video was released. For some reason, Matt Gates took to Twitter and he said, quote, I ran the DeSantis debate prep in 2018, though I prefer Trump for President Bigley. The release of these videos by the person operating the camera is disloyal hackery that I do not abide Staffers who leak on the candidates they've done work for deserve the reputations they get.
