Trump Lawyers Beg DOJ For Meeting Before He Gets Indicted

Donald Trump's legal team sent a cryptic letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland this week, begging for a meeting before special prosecutor Jack Smith can hand down indictments. The letter specifically says that the special prosecutor is engaging in an "injustice" and has multiple lines simply whining about how Trump is being treated. It's becoming increasingly clear that Donald Trump's lawyers are pretty much certain at this point that the former president is in fact going to be indicted by the Department of Justice probably much sooner than we all think. This week, Donald Trump's lawyer sent a letter not to special prosecutor Jack Smith, but to his boss, Merrick Garland, the Attorney General of the United States, complaining to Garland that somehow what Jack Smith is doing is, I don't know, wrong and requesting a meeting at Merrick Garland's, earliest convenience so that Trump's lawyers can whine to him about how much they don't like Jack Smith. Here is what the letter said, and we know this is what the letter said because Donald Trump was stupid enough to post it on truth. Social Dear Attorney General Garland, we represent Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, in the investigation currently being conducted by the Special Counsel's office. Unlike President Biden, his son, hunter and the Biden family, president Trump is being treated unfairly, no president of the United States has ever in the history of our country been facelessly investigated in such an outrageous and unlawful fashion. We request a meeting at your earliest convenience to discuss the ongoing injustice that is being perpetrated by your special counsel and his prosecutors. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Well, at least you admit that Biden and, uh, the Biden family are being treated fairly by also being investigated by the FBI and by the Republicans in the House. So you're admitting, uh, accidentally I believe that those investigations are in fact fair and warranted. But I don't think that letter is how you're gonna get a meeting with the Attorney General, right? I I I don't think that insulting these people by accusing them, and you know, basically by accusing Jack Smith, by extension, you're accusing Mayor Garland of somehow acting unlawfully. And, and by the way, if you as lawyers are going to make those idiotic claims, you have to back them up with evidence. Now, I would think being part of a legal team that has repeatedly over the last two years been smacked down by court after court on issue after issue for not being able to provide evidence.

I would think at the very least when you're talking to the top law enforcement officer in the country, Merrick Garland, that you would at least provide examples of some of the crap you're alleging in your idiotic letter. But you couldn't do that because it doesn't exist. And by the way, if you get that meeting with Merrick Garland, like how is that gonna go? Honestly, I kind of feel like Merrick Garland should be like, you know what? Yeah, come on, come on in. Let's have a chit chat. Let's talk about things for a little bit. I won't even say anything. I just want to hear
