Audience Turns Against Chris Christie When He Tries To Explain Logic To Them

During his speech at this past weekend's "Faith and Freedom" event, Chris Christie initially got the crowd on his side by mentioning that he was the first candidate in 2016 to endorse Donald Trump. Shortly after that, Christie told the crowd that Trump had let Republicans down, and the crowd immediately turned against him. Christie is learning quickly that there is no audience for his campaign, and the more he attacks Trump the more likely it is that he'll drop out before the start of primary voting. Chris Christie, who of course is running for president, much like Ron DeSantis showed up at the Faith and Freedom event on Friday to give a speech to the crowd to convince them to vote for him instead of any of the rivals. But unlike Ron DeSantis, who simply bored the crowd, Chris Christie ended up off the crowd because Chris Christie did the unthinkable. He tried to talk logic to these people. He tried to talk facts to these people, and by God they don't like that at all. I mean, it's faith and freedom, Christie. It's not faith and freedom and facts. So you gotta leave your facts and your logic and your reasoning and your common sense at the door when you check into the Faith and Freedom Coalition. But Kristy didn't do that. But here's what happened. Kristy walks out on stage and the first thing he says is, I was one of the first Republicans in 2016, actually.

He said he was the first to endorse Donald Trump. And when he said that, the crowd started clapping, they were excited. Like, hell yeah, you did. We love it. But then those cheers soon turned to cheers. And Chris Christie said, I'm running because he's let us down. He's let us down because he is unwilling to take responsibility for any of the mistakes that were made, any of the faults that he has, and any of the things that he's done. At that point, the crowd started booing Chris Christie. The faith and freedom crowd does not like it when you point out the truth. They don't like it when you try to suck 'em back into reality. So they couldn't have that. Chris Christie being the, you know, bloviator that he is, he got angry and Chris Christie responded saying, you can boo all you want, but here's the thing.

Our faith teaches us that people have to take responsibility for what they do. And at that point, some of the boos did die down. A couple people did start cheering. So okay, maybe he rebounded a little bit. But the thing that Chris Christie doesn't seem to understand is that there's no audience for him, right? Like Chris Christie cannot walk into the same kind of place that a Ron DeSantis, and then certainly not a Donald Trump can walk into and get the same reaction, because those are two completely opposite bases. And Chris Christie is out here trying to talk to the Trumpers, trying to talk reason into them. And that is a fool's errand. You are not gonna get through to these people. Kristi, write 'em off. Like for real, write them off because they are never going to embrace you. They are never going to love you. But most importantly, they're never going to vote for you. I mean, hell hardly anyone is ever going to vote for you. Chris Christie, I don't even know why you're doing this outside of, you know,

Some kind of vanity project, but you are not going to win this. You know, I talk a lot about Ron DeSantis polls falling, and that's true. They have, but you know whose polls haven't risen? Chris Christie. So you can talk all you want. You can try to suck these people back into reality. You can try to be reasonable and rational with them. But the truth is, that's not what that crowd wants. That crowd wants the lies. They want the fairytales, they want the fantasy.
