Swing District Republicans Fear Lunatics Launching GOP Civil War Will Cost Them Their Seats

There is a ton of Republican infighting taking place in the House of Representatives right now, with moderate Republicans squaring off against the far right fringe, and lunatic far right Representatives fighting with one another for attention. And the Republicans who are sitting in swing districts that could go either way next year are terrified that this constant fighting and name-calling is going to cost them their seats - and they could be right. Well, folks, the Republican infighting has not died down this week after, of course, a very tumultuous week last week where you had Marjorie Taylor Green telling Lauren Bobert on the house floor that she's been a little to her. Those were her exact words, and it was reported last week that obviously the moderates in the Republican caucus at their meetings, they were getting mad, saying, you're letting the lunatics take over. We've got these crazy fights happening and this is bad for us. Well, things didn't die down, and both Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Bobert have of course doubled down on their bitter feud with each other. On top of that, you now have Kevin McCarthy out there saying, we might be impeaching Merrick Garland. Republicans are still pushing for the impeachment of President Biden, Marjorie Taylor Green, still pushing for the impeachment of Homeland Security Chief Mayor Orcas.

You've got all kinds of insanity happening, and of course, no real legislation moving through the chamber. And it's that point that is now starting to panic some of the Republicans that are sitting in swing districts. Now, I'm not necessarily talking about moderate Republicans anymore. According to new reports out this week, it is now the swing District Republicans who do tend to be a little more moderate. They're terrified that all of this infighting, all of the stupidity, letting the lunatics run the asylum. They're afraid that this is going to cost them their jobs next year. And to be honest, Lauren Bobert should be one of those people because she only won reelection by 500 and some odd votes. Now because of that, here's what's happening. One of them, by the way, is Representative Tony Gonzalez who said, I am concerned one witch hunt for another witch hunt makes this place all about witch hunts.

Meanwhile, the American public are focused on putting food on the table, keeping their kids in safe schools, uh uh, keeping inflation down real issues. So Gonzalez gets it, and he is not doing anything to help it, but at least he understands it. But people like Gonzalez who may be in swing districts do have to worry because if your party cannot deliver when they have control of a chamber, the public does typically punish you for it. Lauren Bobert should be backing down off her fight with Marjorie Taylor Greene. She should be backing off impeaching Biden on what Gonzalez refers to as a witch hunt, but she's not. And those people have something to lose, and that's the difference. And there's enough swing districts, obviously to completely remake the leadership in the House of Representatives. People like Marjorie Taylor Green can be crazy because they don't have to worry about it. Marjorie Taylor Green is like in a Republican plus 70 district. She's safe. Matt Gates, where

I am, same thing. Jim Jordan, same thing. Louis Gohmert can be totally nuts and not have to worry about anything Gosar. I mean, the list goes on, the usual suspects, the ones you see out there, usually being the craziest can be that way because their districts will not vote against them. But that craziness comes at a cost, not a cost to those people, but a cost to the other people in your party. Because every time you get crazy, that gets slapped in with the entire Republican party.
