Why doesn't the media shut down politicians that keep saying the president can declassify documents by thinking about it. There is a process, Jim Jordan and Kari Lake, keep spewing that lie. There has to be an approval process where any president could take extremely sensitive materials and make them available to anyone, thus making the US extremely vulnerable. See, the problem is we have a very lazy media here in the United States. I mean, everybody knows that the media is exceptionally lazy, and I guarantee you most of them do not know those facts that, uh, Darlene Hetman here just laid out. And she's absolutely right. Okay. Darlene is, is completely correct in saying that there is a process you have to go through. Even if the president who does have the authority by the way, to declassify things, even if they're holding a document and say, okay, I'm declassifying this right now, by the way, they can do that, they then still have to go through the process.
They have to fill out the paperwork. The paperwork has to be filed and accepted before that document does officially become declassified. You know, this is something I I, I've read extensively about, for very obvious reasons. We kind of need to know how it works, especially when talking about Donald Trump's indictments. But the rest of the media out there, the corporate media, you know, not the independent media. Those folks do a wonderful job, but the corporate media doesn't care about that stuff. They actually, like, I believe when you get these idiots like Ka Lake or Jim Jordan that come on their networks and spread lies, because what happens when those people go on the network and spread lies, that's when you see these topics in headlines in progressive media, and those are issues I talk about when Jim Jordan goes on TV and lies about Donald Trump being able to declassify documents.
I come right here to this seat and I do a video talking about Jim Jordan lying, and of course talk about the actual process he has to go through. But by doing that, the corporate media gets more exposure for their segments. So maybe it's not a good thing that I do that and, and the other progressive hosts do that. Maybe we shouldn't, but at the same time, we have to call out their lies because the corporate media is not doing it. They're just giving them the platform to spew out whatever stupid things they can think of, and it's on us to go out there and actually correct the record. But the corporate media is not gonna do it. One cuz they're lazy, as I said, but two, and this is the more important one, they don't wanna these people off. You know, if they off Jim Jordan, guess what? Next time their producers call and say, Hey Jim, you want to come on with Jake Tapper? Jim's gonna say, oh, hell no, I'm not gonna do that. So they tread this fine line because they want access. They want to continue having access to all these politicians on both sides of the aisle. So that's the main reason they don't call them out. It's not just the laziness.
It's
Because if they make these politicians look like complete and total idiots, the next time that network comes calling that politician's gonna send it straight to voicemail and not return that call.
