So this past weekend I came across an article on a b, C news, and the article caught my attention because it made a lot of sense. Now, let me read you this headline from ABC News, Trump's unprecedented campaign Pitch elect me to get Revenge on the government. And the article then proceeded to lay out multiple times within just the last three or four months where Donald Trump has gone out there in his rallies and speeches and media appearances and basically told crowds that if you elect me, I'm gonna burn down the government. Right? Right. He didn't use those words, but that is what he's implying. I'm gonna dismantle the doj, I'm gonna dismantle the fbi, I'm gonna take aim at all of these, you know, career employees of the federal government. I'm gonna get rid of all of them effectively burning it to the ground.

Now, this is reminiscent, obviously of his drain. The swamp claims, you know, from his first camp, I'm draining the swamp. No, he actually made the swamp worse than ever, but he's doing the same thing and he's doing it in a slightly different way. And that is why this headline caught my attention because two days before this headline came out, a new poll came out showing that a majority of Americans left right and center believe that the government is no longer working for them. They believe that democracy in the us, an overwhelming majority believe that democracy does not work anymore in this country. They're fed up with the government. Congress's approval rating is in the low double digits like I don't even think it's in the teens at this point. The Supreme Court has an approval rating of anywhere between 13 and 16%. Americans are sick and tired of governmental institutions and they don't approve of them.

And that's why Donald Trump's rhetoric is actually dangerous right now. And by dangerous, I'm not talking about his usual rhetoric that could go out there and get people killed. I'm talking about rhetoric that might convince some people who previously didn't like Donald Donald, uh, Donald Trump, but now they don't like the rest of the government either. And they say, well, wait a minute. I know I don't like this guy. I know he fooled me for four years, but if he does go back to office and really does dismantle this governmental system, I do support that. So maybe I am a Trump supporter.

The public's anger at our institutions in Washington, DC is boiling over. And it's not just a Republican thing, it's an independent thing. It's a moderate thing and it's a thing on the left. And if Donald Trump somehow does manage to tap into that again, then he may have a path to victory if he gets that Republican nomination. Now it's worth pointing out in case you didn't already know that Donald Trump is not talking about dismantling the DOJ and FBI and everything else because he believes they need to be broken down. He wants to do it as revenge. Like he's off that they're investigating him. So for him, it's all a personal vendetta. But his supporters don't see that, or they don't care about it. They just know they hate the government. They want the government dismantled. Trump says He'll do it. I'll vote for him. But for Trump using his personal vendetta as a campaign talking point, as this ABC news article points out, that could be an effective strategy considering how much the public is getting mad at the.
