Conservative Group Pledges $20 Million To Protect Seats Of Lunatic Republicans

The conservative group Club For Growth is so worried that far right members of the House Freedom Caucus could be primaried by normal Republicans with the RNC's backing that they are pledging to spend $20 million to support their campaigns. The group of lawmakers includes people like Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert - two people who only succeed at being dangerous extremists that love to be in the media spotlight. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains why Club for Growth would even want to spend that much money to protect these freaks.

You know, I think it's funny how Republicans always lean into the argument of like, oh, that's not what the founding fathers intended. The founding fathers. The founding fathers, everything's always about the founding fathers with these idiots. And the reason I even bring that up is because I would love to approach the founding father. Like I get a time machine, I go back in time, I see the founding fathers, they're for some reason all just sitting in the same spot waiting for me. And I go up to 'em and I tell them this story right here. Because this story right here is about how the Uber conservative group clubbed for growth has announced that they are going to be putting up $20 million to make sure that some of the most extreme fringe lunatic Republicans in the house do not lose their seat in next year's elections.

$20 million. That they're likely going to spread between 20 different Republicans. A group they're calling the uh, uh, what is it, the Patriot 20. And I would love to know what the Founding Fathers think of the fact that one single group is already saying, we're gonna put up at least $20 million. We may put up more. 'cause I guarantee you the founding fathers would crap their pantaloons if they heard the number $20 million, let alone the fact that one single group was doing it to make sure that some of the worst lawmakers in the country kept their seats. And of course, that all of this is totally legal. So here's the story. Right now, as I said, you got the club for growth. They have come out and said, we are gonna put $20 million behind this group that we are calling the Patriot 20. Because we're worried that the more rational Republicans in the House of Representatives and with the overall G O P might try to primary these people.

And by God, we wanna save their seats. So who are the Patriot 20 that the Club for Growth desperately wants to protect? Matt Gaetz, Lauren Bobert, Andy Biggs, Paul Gosar, all the usual suspects of the worst of the worst of the worst. I know that's only five of 'em. Yes, there's 15 others. Some of the others include Anna Paulina Luna from Florida, Josh Breean from Oklahoma, Andy Ogles from Tennessee, like Crayon of Arizona, Keith Self of Texas, uh, Matt Rosendale of Montana. The list goes on. But either way, we are talking about some of the most extreme Republicans ever. The ones of course, who according to the reports, gave Kevin McCarthy his biggest headaches this year. But why does the anti-tax club for growth? Because that's the only thing they stand for. That's the only thing any Republican stands for, no taxes on wealthy people. Why do they care so much about these freaks, right? Like what's the point in protecting these

Freaks? Like how are these freaks any different than any other Republican that would hold those seats? I mean, most of these people that I've named are people that have already fought off Republican primary challengers in the past. Most of them, you know, easily fought off Republican challengers. Most of them are in deep red districts where a Republican is gonna win. So why does it matter to the club for growth, which Republican is sitting in that seat? All Republicans want to cut taxes. That's the only thing club for growth cares about. So what is in it for you with this specific group of crazy people? See, that's the part of this story I do not yet have an answer to, but I promise you I'm going to get it because it makes no sense right now.
