Biden Comes Out Swinging With Harsh Insult Aimed At Climate Change Deniers

While touring the damage of Hurricane Idalia in Florida this past weekend, President Biden had some harsh words for anyone denying the reality of climate change. Biden said that "nobody intelligent" can deny the impact that climate change is having on our world right now, and believe it or not, that is actually the harshest language we've ever seen from a president about those who deny climate change. On Saturday, president Biden came down here to the state of Florida. Where are Republican? Governor Ron DeSantis refused to meet with him, but Biden came on down to survey some of the damage caused by last week's hurricane Adalia. Uh, the hurricane of course, caused significant flooding in areas, significant damage. It then left Florida, went up to Georgia. Did you know, similar? It was a horrific storm. And Biden being the president, as president's do, came down here to survey the damage. DeSantis said, I'm not gonna meet with the guy, but Republican Senator Rick Scott did. And the two got along for the time that Biden was here. But that's not the important part. The important part is that while he was here, president Biden, of course, gave an address to the people who, who gathered to see him. And it was during this address that President Biden did something that we have never seen a sitting president do before.

Not only did he call out climate change deniers because we've had other presidents like Barack Obama call them out. What Biden did was actually insult them. He attacked them. Here's what he said. And before I even say it, lemme tell you I agree with every single word that this man said right here. This is one of the greatest things I have seen President Biden ever do, ever. Here it is. Nobody can deny the impact of climate crises. At least nobody intelligent can deny the impact of the climate crisis anymore. Just look around, around the nation and the world for that matter. Historic floods, intense droughts, extreme heat, deadly wildfires that have caused serious damage that we've never seen before. These crises are affecting more and more Americans, and every American rightly expects FEMA to show up when they're needed and to help in a disaster. So I'm calling on the United States Congress, Democrats and Republicans to ensure the funding is there to deal with the immediate crises, as well as our long-term commitment to the safety and security of the American people.

Nobody intelligent can deny the reality of the climate crisis that we are facing. Nobody intelligent, which of course, flip the words around a little bit. If you deny climate change, you're an idiot. It's effectively what President Biden said right there. And he is right. And I agree with it and I'm glad he said it. This is the kind of talk about climate change that has been missing from the public discourse. You know, we, we, we've seen it. Uh, I used to be an environmental writer, uh, with the smog blog. One of the things we did was basically debunk all the right wing talking

Points. So, so I've talked like that. I've done it here at Ring of Fire. You know, plenty of other folks have done it, but we've never seen the president of the United States go that hard against these climate change deniers. And that's what I wanna see more of because he's right. The crises are piling up upon us folks, you cannot deny what's happening. This extreme heat that we have lived under, the fact that like the seven hottest days on record all occurred within the same week. This summer, climate change is real. And only a complete idiot would tell you otherwise.
