Impeachment Supporting House Republican Admits This Charade Will Probably Backfire

Republican Representative Nancy Mace wasn't initially on board with impeaching President Biden, but she has now come around to the idea. But she still isn't completely sold on it, in spite of her current support, and she told reporters this week that she still thinks it could backfire on her Party. This is a weird set of beliefs to hold at the same time, but it shows that even supporters of impeachment know that this isn't going anywhere (and that's the BEST case scenario for them.) So even though the impeachment inquiry into President Biden has, uh, unofficially been opened, 'cause Kevin McCarthy, of course directed the committees, do your inquiry. Now, even though legally it's not binding and they cannot because of a rule from Trump's justice department, compel anyone to comply with subpoenas or any requests in the case. So it is what it is. But either way, you've still got a bunch of Republicans who think that this is a dumb idea and they don't want to do it. And what's funny is that according to an exclusive report from Raw Story, there's another Republican out there who actually does support the impeachment and is still fully willing to admit that he had, it's probably gonna backfire on us. And that Republican, of course is Nancy Mace here is what Nancy Mace had to say. I was a little hesitant at first. My understanding is that it gives more subpoena power or something. So I'm gonna stop right there. You don't, you don't even know what an impeachment inquiry is. You are like, it, it gives us like subpoena of something. I don't know. Jesus. H Christ, you, you, you should resign right now. Like I don't even need to read the rest of your idiotic quotes. You don't know what the f is even happening and you don't know what it means, but you support it. I don't know what it is, but I like it. Holy hell. We are dealing with the dumbest people in the country.

It's a way to get the bank records and you know, it, it shouldn't just be about Hunter Biden and James Biden. It should be about Joe too, and bank statements and credit card statements, all of the things that could show what was really going on. It's worthy of an investigation. I think he'll go down as one of the most corrupt people in American history. I'm sorry, Nancy, before I even continue again, let me ask you just one quick question. Have you been paying attention to what's been going on with your Republican colleagues hearings and investigations in the house? 'cause, 'cause they've literally come up with no evidence at all. None. Like not a single shred of it yet here you are like, well we just, we need more evidence 'cause we don't have any. And so we're gonna do this. I don't know if it lets us get more evidence, you know, maybe there's bank records, but then when asked if she was worried that the impeachment could backfire, mace acknowledged always, and I've talked about that there are risks, particularly to Republicans who won Biden districts or people in purple districts. Um, but this is not an impeachment vote. This is an inquiry which gives us expanded investigative power, like expanded subpoena power,

Except it's not official. And the d o j rule says that if it's not put forth for a full house vote, then legally you can't actually issue subpoenas. And if you do issue a subpoena legally, people do not have to comply with them. So even those things that you think maybe you're able to do, you're actually not even allowed to do. So maybe do your homework next time before you start running off at the mouth about things you don't support. You do support. Eh, it's gonna backfire on us, but here's the thing, you can write it off all you want and be like this. We're just asking questions. Like that's how she ended that.
