Striking Auto Workers Tell Trump He Isn't Welcome At Picket Line

Donald Trump is headed to Michigan today to hold a rally near the striking UAW workers - and he's doing it against the wishes of the union. According to reports, the union had specifically told Donald Trump to stay away, but Trump wasn't going to miss an opportunity to pretend that he cares about struggling American workers, and decided to make the trip against their wishes. Yesterday, in a historic moment, president Biden appeared in the picket lines with United Auto Workers striking for better wages and better benefits. That is historic. We have not seen this happen before where he sitting president goes on the picket line. So that is a huge boost for Biden, and it is important to remember that the u a w, the union representing all these striking workers, they did invite Biden to come to the picket line and give a quick speech. And by the way, in the, uh, videos that I've seen of Biden out there, he did a great job. He agreed these people deserve wages. He called out the CEOs for their exorbitant pay, did everything we could have wanted him to do. So top marks for Biden on that. Well, today, Donald Trump's heading out there, right? He's going up to Michigan. And according to a new report from the Washington Post, the United Auto Workers specifically asked Donald Trump to please not come to Michigan.

We do not want you, we do not want you here speaking to our people. We do not like you. We do not trust you. Please do not come. But of course, Donald Trump can't pass up an opportunity to be in the spotlight, especially since Biden already upstaged him. So Trump is going, and I, I, I guess ironically, maybe not ironically, he's, he's actually going to be speaking at a non-union shop. So you're supposed to be out there promoting the union, you know, trying to get these union workers on your side. And you're gonna do that by speaking at a non-union shop, which according to reports out Wednesday, has already off the u a w something fierce. So they didn't want you to come. You said, screw it, I'm coming anyway. And then you 'em off even further by going to a non-union shop. And this of course comes after Donald Trump earlier this week, told unions that, Hey, you side with me.

You get your leadership to embrace Donald Trump. And quote, I will make you rich. That's what Donald Trump put on social media. I will make you rich. These people aren't looking to get rich. Donald Trump thinks that the ultimate goal of every single person in society is money. It's not. These people want to produce a product. These people have worked in these factories, some of them for decades. They believe in what they do. They drive down the street, they see other cars on the road, and they ha they have that sense of pride like I did. That that is a pride that Donald Trump, no matter how hard he tries, can never feel because he's never created something like these people do. All these people are asking for is, Hey, listen, we're putting in all the work, we're making the products we want better pay. Our c e o is getting what

Is a 60% raise year over year. We want 40% over the next four years. So 10% per year. That's what Trump doesn't understand, 'cause he thinks these people just want to get a giant big payday, then retire off and to buy their own private islands. That's not what's happening. And that's why they don't want him to come, because Donald Trump has never been working class. Donald Trump's family has never been working class. He wasn't working class when he grew up. He knows nothing of the struggle of American workers. To his credit, Biden does. That's why they invited Biden and told Donald Trump to stay the hell away from them.
