Trump's Fraud Problems In New York Aren't Over And Trial Is Still On

There has been a lot of confusion about the ruling handed down by Judge Arthur Engoron this week when he found Trump, his sons, and his company guilty of fraud, and even Trump's lawyers aren't sure about what's happening. The judge made it clear that the trial is actually still going to take place next week, as there are other unresolved issues from the Attorney General's lawsuit, and this will help clarify whether or not Trump is allowed to do business in New York ever again. Donald Trump's legal problems are far from over with the New York State Fraud Trial. That is still set to begin next Monday. So just, you know, the weekend passes. Then we got the trial starting on Monday, Thursday, Donald Trump lost an appeal to delay the trial. And now Trump's lawyers, given the summary judgment that we got from Judge Arthur Eron this week are saying, what's the point? Why are, why are we even going to trial now? 'cause you've already told my guy he's guilty. I mean, his lawyer literally said, what's the point of the others? I, I don't know how many accounts you need. You've already granted relief except for disgorge. What's the point?

The point is it's not over. See, I think a lot of people, when this decision came down from Judge Arthur Geron on Tuesday, uh, incorrectly had assumed that the trial was over. Like we didn't need a trial because we had the summary judgment. That's not always what that means in most instances. I, I don't even say most, but in many instances, a summary judgment just basically means we do not have to make the determination of guilt at the trial, but the trial still has to take place because we still have to figure out if Trump's gonna have to pay the full $250 million that he's being sued for. And of course, we have to work through the intricacies of Judge Geron canceling Donald Trump's business licenses in the state of New York. There's still a lot of confusion there. In fact, so much confusion that Trump's lawyers had asked the judge like, what, what is, what does this mean?

Like, which, which businesses are, do they lose every property? Like, what is going on? And the judge was like, I'm not gonna tell you. It's not exactly word for word what the judge said, but the judge did tell them like, we're, we're not gonna discuss that now. We'll talk about that next week and the trial. And that's why Trump's lawyers are just getting. We're like, what's the point We already lost? Now you're gonna drag us into court and tell us for another week or two that we lost every day. We get it, we lost. We're losers. I love it. But the thing I love most about it is the fact that Letitia James, the New York Attorney General, is not letting it go either. She wants to take this thing to trial and you know why that is, right? She's done a lot of work on this. She put in a lot of effort. I mean, this was a years long investigation into Donald Trump. She has the receipts and by God, she wants everybody to see the receipts. And there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, I think it's healthy and necessary for American democracy for the public to be able to see the evidence that she has compiled that is needed. And Trump cannot escape that. I know he wants to 'cause

It's a massive hit to his ego, but he can't, he has to face the music. He, his two sons, Eric and Don Jr. And Ivanka have been listed as witnesses that will be called during the trial. So we're still gonna be going through the full regular trial as if we didn't already have a summary judgment. Now Trump and his sons are already expected to plead the Fifth Amendment. Who knows what Ivanka's gonna do, but that could be a lot of fun. She, of course, got herself excused from this lawsuit. She was originally a part of it, but filed a motion trying to separate herself and she was successful with that. So Monday it is Trump's not happy.
