Over the weekend during an appearance on CBS's face, the nation Republican Senator Lindsey Graham issued what might be construed as a bit of a warning to Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz, who earlier in the day on Sunday had said that this week he is totally going to introduce his motion to strip Kevin McCarthy of his speakership. Even though on Monday, Matt Gaetz admitted, yeah, I don't have the votes to do it, but I might do it anyway. But either way, Lindsey Graham, who is not in the House of Representatives, still issued a stern warning to Matt Gaetz about his plan. Graham said quote, I think Kevin is the right guy at the right time. The only way he loses his job is if a handful of Republicans join up with the Democratic Party to fire him. That would be a disaster for the future of the Republican party. But that's not going to happen. Kevin has the overwhelming confidence of his membership. He worked to avoid a shutdown. Who'd he work with, by the way? Huh? Lindsay, you tell me who Kevin McCarthy had to work with in order to avoid a shutdown. Was it, was it his own people? No, no, it wasn't Them wasn't them. Um, so if it wasn't the Republicans, God, I, I, I wish, I wish I could just pinpoint who worked with Kevin McCarthy to avoid a shutdown. Oh, that's right. It was the Democrats. Yeah, that's, that's right.

So maybe next time you talk about that, Lindsay, you could include that very vital piece of information to your audience. But he did continue. He will fund Ukraine, but he's telling everybody in the country, including me, you better send something over for the border for me to help you Ukraine. And he's right to make that demand. Okay, so Lindsey Graham's got a lot of stupid stuff in there, but at the one, you know, the, the, the overall takeaway, of course is that it would be a mistake for the Republican party to replace Kevin McCarthy. And to that, I say really like, would it, I mean, I know if the fringe Republicans in the house actually get the opportunity and they do vote McCarthy out, we're not gonna get somebody better. But are we gonna get somebody worse? I mean, think about that for a moment, folks.

I think that's what's getting lost in the shuffle of the will. They, won't they? Who gives a, right? Is somebody gonna come along in the Republican party out of the people they have in the house right now and actually do a good job? Are we gonna have somebody that's gonna transform it and suddenly we have Democrats and Republicans working together on everything, not just to avert a government shutdown? No. And honestly, like on the other side of it, at this point, why does McCarthy even want the job? I know it comes with a bit of a raise, but dude, I know you're not hurting for money either. So why do you even wanna put yourself through this? You've already been speakers, so you're gonna get your
