DeSantis Blasts Trump And Tells Voters Trump Will 'Sell Them Out'

Ron DeSantis has finally decided that he has to go all in on attacking Donald Trump in order to save his struggling campaign, and he told an interviewer recently that Trump was preparing to "sell out" pro-life Republicans. On top of this attack, DeSantis has appeared more ready to go after Trump by name, and he's even selling "Trump's Veto Pen" on his website for $7.4 trillion - a dig at the debt that Trump ran up while president. Ron DeSantis has decided that it's time to basically go all in on his presidential campaign. So what he's doing now is reversing course from the, uh, first disastrous few months of his presidential campaign that officially kicked off in May, and he is now coming out guns blazing against his biggest rival Donald J. Trump, who according to the most recent polls, is actually beating DeSantis by at least 50 points. So, you know, maybe a little too little too late for DeSantis, but by God, he is gonna let the world know that he is a better pick for president than Donald Trump. Recently during an interview on NBC's Meet the Press, DeSantis had this to say about Donald Trump. I think he's changing in a way that is not consistent with the values of the people in Iowa. I think all pro-lifers should know that he's preparing to sell you out.

Now, I disagree with the entire forced birth movement, which is a better name for the pro-lifers out there, and there's nothing pro-life about them. They're forced birth people. But I will say that DeSantis almost hit the nail on the head when he said that Trump will sell you out. If you had just issued that statement to the voters and said, Hey, it doesn't matter. The issue Trump's going to sell you out, then honestly, Ron, you'd have been onto something there, man, because that is what Donald Trump is. He sells people out all the time. He is a sellout. If he sees the opportunity to gain any kind of advantage, whether it's in the polls, whether it's financially, he will take it. And as we've seen from the legal cases against him, uh, he doesn't always care if it's like the legal thing to do either. But if he sees a window, if he sees an opening or an opportunity, he's gonna take it.

If he sees the chance to throw somebody else onto the bus, he's gonna do it. So Ron, all you had to do was leave the whole pro-life thing out of it and just say that, uh, Trump's gonna sell you out, and you would've had a pretty solid statement that would've made for one hell of a soundbite. But instead, you threw in the pro-life a k a forced birth issue, which is a losing issue for the Republican Party. Even in deep red states, you are losing on the abortion issue. So you actually turned what could have been a pretty good talking point into a losing issue for you because you're so bad at campaigning. Ron. That's the bottom line here. That's the thing. I don't think you comprehend, and honest to God, I don't know that you ever will, you are not good at this, which is of course why Donald Trump had to swoop in in 2018 and save your failing gubernatorial campaign during the primary. That is the only reason you became governor of the state of Florida. Now, you held your own in 2022. I'll give you that.

But you are proving repeatedly on a national scale, you don't have what it takes. So he thinks Ron does that. If he now comes out and starts attacking Donald Trump, the, the front runner by again, 50 points that, Hey, this is gonna make me look good, right? No. In fact, surveys of people in the early voting states, Iowa and New Hampshire have actually said that they don't like that you attack him now. So in trying to appeal to more voters, Ron DeSantis did what he always does and managed to turn off even more people than he already had because once again, he is just comically, hilariously, pathetically bad at this.
