Conservatives Panic As Biden On Track To Appoint More Federal Judges Than Trump

Donald Trump dramatically remade the federal court system with a staggering 240 appointments during his administration. But President Biden is actually tied with where Trump was at this point in his presidency, and there's a chance that he could even appoint more than Trump. And conservatives are terrified that Biden could beat him. They are trying their best to stall the nominees and trash anyone they can, but Democrats in the Senate are moving forward at a steady pace. President Biden has done one thing that he has gotten virtually no credit for. And it's very odd that this story was brought to my attention by Fox News because Fox News came out in a recent article and the headline says, Biden, on pace to match, even exceed Trump's number of lower court judicial appointments. As it stands right now, president Biden has gotten 144 Circuit and District Court judges appointed to the bench since he took office. And that is roughly where Donald Trump was at this same point in his presidency. Now, Donald Trump ended with 240 judicial appointments, not including the three to the Supreme Court. So if Biden keeps this pace, he will actually have more judges on the bench, not the Supreme Court, but the lower courts than Donald Trump was able to put up there. And the reason that's such a big deal is because Donald Trump essentially remade the judiciary here in the United States. 25% of Circuit court judges are Donald Trump appointees, 25% folks, that's huge.

Biden might beat that. And it's not just that Biden might beat that, it's that Biden might beat it with actual competent judges, which to be honest with you, again, covering this for like 20 years, we typically don't even see that from Democrats. Democrats have a bad habit of putting corporate judges on the bench. Biden, to his credit, probably the best thing he has done as president of the United States is avoiding that trap. And even Fox News pointed out, it's been a mix of state judges, prosecutors, not defense lawyers, not the people defending these big corporations, the people prosecuting them, and public defenders, that's huge. People who understand the indigent defendants and the suffering and the plight that these people go through, having those people serving on a bench, I is an absolute game changer for people going through the criminal justice system here in the United States.

I, I cannot stress that enough. That is remarkable. And I do give President Biden full and complete credit for the judicial nominees that he has put forward. So the big question is, why is Fox News even talking about this? Right? Why is Fox News praising Biden? Well, they're not praising Biden. In fact, what they're doing is actually sounding the alarm bell. You've got conservatives right now that are freaking out over the fact that President Biden is putting non-corporate judges on the bench because people like Fox News, the advertisers on Fox News, the people who fund all these idiot little right wing talkers across the country, they know that this means that their control over the judiciary could be coming

To an end. So they're panicking, they're putting out these stories, trying to rally conservatives like, oh no, president Biden's remaking the judiciary. Because those people will think, oh no, that means we're gonna have woke judges, right? No, it just means that you're gonna have judges that aren't already gonna be in the pocket of corporations. It means that you're gonna have judges that actually care about the civil liberties of individual groups throughout this country. That's not wokeness, that's not scary. That's putting power back into the hands of average Americans and consumers. But of course, to the corporate interests, nothing is scarier than that. So I expect as we get closer to the 2024 election, we're gonna see a lot more attacks coming from the right about the judges that President Biden has put on the bench.
