Trump's Friends Say Fraud Trial Could Psychologically Destroy Him

The Wall Street Journal recently spoke to people who call themselves "friends" of Donald Trump, and they believe that the New York fraud trial is as much about Trump's ego as it is about anything else. In fact, they believe that the outcome of the case - especially since liability has already been determined - could end up psychologically breaking Trump. This isn't a far off guess, either. This week the Wall Street Journal decided to catch up with some of Donald Trump's so-called friends in New York City. And they all pretty much told the new, uh, wall Street Journal that this fraud trial in New York City is the one that of course bothers Donald Trump the most. But then they said that the results of this trial could be his psychological undoing, his psychological undoing. Now here's the thing, this trial, the fraud trial in New York, which is not criminal in nature, like Trump's not gonna go to jail regardless of what happens with the results of this trial. He's just gonna have to pay money. And of course it's gonna prove that he lied about the value of his properties and his own net worth. But that's why he's freaked out more about this one than any of the other trials. And I've been saying that for a long time now, folks, regular viewers here, know that yes, this is barren standard line.

I've been saying it for a while, but to hear it coming from his friends in this Wall Street Journal piece, these people see it. These people know him clearly better than I do 'cause I don't know him at all, thank God. But they know it too because it's that obvious. His panicked posts on truth social, you know, calling Letitia James a racist, attacking the judge, attacking everybody else involved in this, just going absolutely, you know, monkey crap over what is happening here when all it is is a civil trial. Makes no sense until you realize this is about his ego, not about the criminal penalties, not about the civil penalties, it's all about his ego. Here is what Trump biographer David K. Johnston had to say about this issue. Donald is his money, and that's the single most important thing to understand, and it's the sum and substance of who he is.

He was raised by a monster of a father who was involved with two, with the two biggest mafia families in New York and up to his eyeballs, and he taught Donald that getting the money was all that mattered. And the win is all that matters. Anything that would take away his appearance of being very wealthy emphasize that word appearance is a threat to his very existence. That's the core of the problem Donald is facing here. This is more threatening to Donald's mind than the prospect of going to prison, which he can put off as, oh, that's not going to happen. He sees this happening as part of the reason he's sitting there in the courtroom because he doesn't have to be there at this stage.

So it's all about his ego, it's all about his appearance. It's all about being able to convince people that you have more money than you actually have because as David K. Johnston there brilliantly point out Donald is his money. And if we find out when this trial concludes that that money is a hell of a lot smaller than he told us, then it's not just the value, it's not just the money that's smaller. Trump gets smaller, his influence gets smaller, his power gets smaller, his ego gets smaller. So I agree with these Trump friends. I agree with biographer David K. Johnston. This trial could be the one that finally mentally breaks Donald Trump
