YouTube Description
as posted by the channelFox News host Sean Hannity has been demanding answers from moderate House Republicans as to why they aren't falling in line and supporting Jim Jordan as Speaker of the House. A woman identifying herself as "Stephanie" with Hannity's staff sent an email out to Republicans demanding that they confirm that they are NOT supporting Jordan, then grilled them saying that Sean wants to know why they are doing this during a time of intense budget standoffs and international turmoil. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening and why the thought of a Fox host interfering with Congressional business should terrify all of us.

Well, folks, today is the day that we may, may not, I don't know, get a new speaker of the house. In fact, by the time you're watching this, maybe we already do have a new speaker of the house. But at least as the time of this recording on Tuesday morning, we do not currently have a Speaker of the House of Representatives. The vote will be held today on whether or not Jim Jordan from Ohio is going to be taking that position. And Jim Jordan's been doing a lot of work trying to convince some of the holdouts to support him. And he enlisted the help of his good friend Sean Hannity from Fox News, to pressure moderate Republicans to support Jim Jordan as Speaker of the House. According to a report from Axios, moderate members of the House of Representatives on the Republican side received an email recently from a woman identifying herself as Stephanie from Sean Hannity Show.
And the email said this, can you please let me know if this is accurate? And if true, Hannity would like to know why during a war breaking out between Israel and Hamas with the war in Ukraine, with the wide open borders, with a budget that's unfinished, why would representative fill in your name be against Jim Jordan for speaker, please let us know when representative fill in your name plans on opening the people's house so work can be done. Lastly, are there any conditions representative fill in your name? We'll work with Democrats on the process of electing a new speaker. The deadline for comment is 11:00 AM tomorrow, uh, October 16th. Thank you.
So Sean Hannity is allegedly having his producer or somebody that works on his show. Maybe it's an assistant, I don't know, maybe Stephanie doesn't exist, and it's actually coming from Sean Hannity. But sending out an email, pressuring these people, trying to go through the whole litany of things like, oh, look how horrible the world is. And you're upset about Jim Jordan. What's wrong with you? Also, is there anything we could do to get you to support Jim Jordan? Like if there's any special conditions you want, just let us know. We'll, we'll, we'll try to make it happen.
Now, I don't know if, if y'all realize this, but Sean Hannity is not a member of Congress. He, he's not an aide or a staffer to anyone serving in any elected office. He is in fact, a media personality. He's an opinion host. He's not even a news reporter. He's not even, pardon me, he's not even an investigative journalist. He's a guy that sits in his desk and reads off a teleprompter of what people smarter than him tell him to say he is a blow hard. He is a know nothing, and he is out there trying to rig the game in DC for Jim Jordan to become speaker of the house. If you are not off about that fact,
Then you are not paying attention. Let me put it to you this way. Could you imagine the uproar that Republicans would have if Rachel Maddow from M S N B C had her staffer send out an email to Democrats saying, why aren't you supporting Hakeem Jeffries? Why are you doing this? This is terrible. That would be all over right wing media all day, every day for the next two weeks, they would be calling for boycotts of M S N B C and N B C and all of their properties. But when Republicans do it, oh, it's just how it works. It's just Fox News influence machine.
