During an appearance on Steve Bannon's show this week, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell complained about media outlets reportedly calling him a "grifter" while talking about his recent admission that he "has no money." Lindell apparently takes exception to that label, and maybe he should be offended by it. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins makes the case that Lindell is not actually a grifter at all, but not for the reasons you might think.

MyPillow, CEO. Mike Lindell has a bone to pick with the media this week, and he picked that bone on Steve Bannon's show on, uh, real America's voice where Mike Lindell appeared this week to complain about the fact that the media is referring to him as a grifter and attacking him for his recent claim on Lindell tv, that he has no more money. Here is what Mike Lindell said. While I see all the reports out today, Mike Lindell complains, I don't have any money amid my pillow woes. They call me a grifter. They're attacking my pillow, saying, my employees say that I should have learned my lesson. I should've, shouldn't have kept talking about the election platforms. And so the media is attacking me in full force. So if you all can take advantage of the specials we have at MyPillow so I can have peace of mind that my employees are getting taken care of, like you all have, um, how dare you call me a grifter.

And if you use code grifter on mypillow.com, you can get 20%. Like seriously, dude, really you're gonna whine about being called a grifter, and then go right into the grift that I gotta hand it to you. I ain't never seen that before. That's pretty good. Let's get a couple things straight here. The media's not attacking you. No, no, no. Trust me, there is nobody in the media, especially those of us, you know, in the progressive media. We're not attacking you at all. We're mocking you. There is a big difference. Okay? Learn the difference and attack is to go out there and just ba ba ba ba. We are making fun of you. Okay? Occasionally attacking too, but mostly we're making fun of you. Jimmy Kimmel makes fun of you all the time. That's not an attack. That's, that's satire, that's parody. And of course it is laughing at your horrific pain that you have inflicted upon yourself. But secondly, and I will say this, I agree with Mike Lindell's gripe that he is a grifter. I do not believe that Mike Lindell is a grifter. I absolutely do not. And I'll tell you why. When you look up the definition of the word grifter, there's lots of different variations of it, but it always boils down to the same thing. Usually a con artist or you know, a swindler, they're frequently called, uh, who dupes people fraudulently and obtains money from it.

That's why I don't think Mike Lindell is a grifter, because he's not getting any money from any of it. He's trying, God bless him. He is trying, but he is not successful with it. So technically, by definition, in order to be a grifter, you have to be somewhat successful and poor. Little Mike Lindell doesn't have that, right? He's, he's got the,

The con down. Okay, we'll call it the con. Um, you know, he knows how to tell people, oh, you gotta go, go to MyPillow and save me, do all these things right after he complains about not having money. So he's saying, listen, I have no money. You gotta help me out. You gotta do this. It's just that the people aren't doing it, so he's not actually obtaining money from it. And therefore, by definition, I don't think we can call him a grifter. So if he were better at it, yeah, he'd be a grifter. But right now he's just kind of a wannabe grifter, I guess we'll call him because he's trying, he's just not having very much success with it.
