YouTube Description
as posted by the channelNearly every single decision that Judge Aileen Cannon has made about the documents trial has been to the benefit of Donald Trump, and that hasn't gone unnoticed among legal experts. Recently, former federal prosecutor Andrew Weissmann called her out directly by saying that it is abundantly clear that she is "in the bag for Trump." The evidence would certainly suggest that this is the case, but it would still be difficult, though not impossible, for prosecutors to file a successful motion for recusal, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Former federal prosecutor Andrew Weissman, absolutely laid into Judge Eileen Cannon last week when she decided that she wasn't even going to pretend to play by the rules in the upcoming Trump trial for stealing classified documents. Here's what happened. Jack Smith, the, you know, special prosecutor, the DOJ essentially filed a motion with the court saying that using, you know, CIPA section five, we need a deadline for Trump to tell us what classified documents he's going to be bringing to the trial. There is a full federal legal, well-established procedure for any defendant that wants to bring classified documents as evidence in a trial. And they said, we gotta have that deadline soon so that we know we can prepare and we can of course get the correct security clearances. And Judge Cannon said now, no, I'm just not gonna do it. Uh, it's gonna be like March. March will be the deadline and the trial may start in May.
So good luck with that. Like completely what this no joke, this is the worst ruling and it shows that she does not know what she's doing. Like I don't know if this is just 100% because of her bias or if she just is dumb as a box of hammers. I think it's actually both, to be honest with you. 'cause she doesn't know what the hell she's doing. And this is absolutely, by the way, the kind of thing that the DOJ could use as the final nail in the coffin to file a successful motion for recusal because this almost violates the law basically. But here is what former federal prosecutor, Andrew Weissman said, breaking Judge Cannon's biases showing over and over again. Smith has to be weighing whether, when and how to seek her reversal by the Court of Appeals and her removal, not scheduling a CIPA section five hearing, which is routine, is a clear sign.
She is just as much in the bag for Trump as when she issued her horrendous pretrial rulings, both reversed and scathing language by the Conservative 11th Circus. What a piece of work is, she and I agree a hundred percent because this kind of like Andrew Weissman is pointing out like she, she's, she's almost violating the law. Like we can't say she's definitely violating the law, but she is right on the edge of, of doing something that is illegal. You have to schedule that hearing. You have to allow for the discovery of information. And right now she is literally blocking the discovery process. Now that would be illegal. So it is beyond past time for Jack Smith to submit that motion to the 11th Circuit. And as Weissman pointed out, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, which oversees canon, it's a conservative court and they've already smacked her down every time that one of her rulings or motions has been brought to them,
Even they know that she's full of it. Even they know that she's biased and even they know that she is just painfully stupid and bad at this. But, but Smith's gonna lose his case if he doesn't get it away from Judge Cannon. Even though the evidence is crystal clear against Donald Trump, Smith will lose if Canon is the judge presiding over it.
