YouTube Description
as posted by the channelRepublicans in the House of Representatives are now openly admitting that they aren't going to do anything about the border this year because they don't want to help President Biden. They have been complaining about the border for years since Biden took office, and now that they have the chance to actually do something, they are refusing because they don't want Biden to get any credit for solving a problem. This is a microcosm of the problems with modern politics, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Republicans in Congress for several years. Basically ever since the day President Biden took office have been demanding that Biden do something about our border crisis down there on the southern border where they say, we've got millions of migrants coming across the border every couple of days or whatever, but they say Biden has done nothing. Well, Republicans actually have the chance to do something with legislation being proposed to, you know, help secure our southern border. But some Republicans are now telling us that they don't wanna do it because they don't want to give Biden a political win. They've been and moaning about this issue for years, and now that they have the chance to do it, they're saying, no, we're not gonna do it because we would rather hurt Biden than actually do something about The issue that we talk about every single day here is what Republican representative Troy Neils of Texas, of all places, said in an interview with CNN late last week.
Let me tell you, I'm not willing to do uh, to do too much right now because, uh, or excuse me, let me start that over. Let me tell you, I'm not willing to do too much right now to help a Democrat and to help Joe Biden's approval rating. I will not help the Democrats try to improve this man's dismal approval ratings. I'm not going to do it. Why would I? Well, I don't know, idiot, because you've been whining and moaning and your whole state Republican leadership has been for years about the immigrant issue. And then here's legislation that's come through that says, Hey, we can actually work out a deal. President Biden Biden is saying, let's get something done. Let's address the issue. And now you're saying, no, I'm not gonna do it. I don't wanna do it. It's gonna help you.
So you're admitting by the way, that you don't actually care about the issue. You only use the issue as a political wedge to get people to vote for you or to get people to vote against somebody you don't like, which in this case would be President Biden. So he's admitting that solving the issue would help Democrats. So he would rather continue having a problem than do anything that might help President Biden. Folks, this statement from Representative Neils is everything that is wrong with American politics today, this is why there is no cooperation anymore between people on the left and people on the right. Because every side for the love of God, my God, we can't do something that they might like. 'cause it might help them politically, you know, oh, well I can't do something this guy likes because it might help them politically. Like, that's not what your job is. Your job is not to worry about what your job's gonna be in two years, whether you're still gonna hold that seat or somebody else will. Your job is not to worry about who's gonna hold that White House in four years, or five years, or six years, or whatever your job is to do everything possible to help your constituents. That's why they vote for
You. It doesn't matter if you're on the left or you're on the right, or if you're an independent or anything in between. Your job is to get things done. And these Republicans are openly admitting to us right now that they will not do anything even about the problems they about every day, because God forbid it might help the other party politically.
