Lauren Boebert Introduces Herself To New District By Making Jokes About Her Lewd Behavior

But rather than trying to put it behind her, she thought it would be a good idea to make light of the situation and told a joke about it. This might work for someone in the entertainment industry, but for someone running for Congress is felt more like Boebert never learned a lesson from her behavior. Well, folks, Lauren Bobert decided to go and introduce herself to her new constituents this week, of course, after she announced recently that she was switching districts to Colorado's fourth district instead of the third district where she is in her second term. Because as we all know, she stands absolutely no chance of winning reelection in that third district. It's actually quite a miracle for her that she even won reelection the first time in 2022. But this time with all of her scandals and all of her personal drama, it just wasn't gonna happen. She probably wasn't even gonna make it past the primary point. So she switched districts, went to her new district this week, and rather than trying to be tame and mild and act like she had learned her lesson, she decided to introduce herself by saying quote, many of you know who I am. I don't have to ask. Like the ushers at the Bell Theater.

She opened with a joke about the time she groped her date at the Beetlejuice, the musical performance just a few months ago. Now, here's why this bothers me so much. We have seen people in the entertainment industry, right? They get involved in scandals and uh, you know, so they, they try to come out, rehabilitate their image by joking about it, right? I mean, uh, Paul Rubins, Peewee Herman, I think is a great example of that. Obviously getting caught in the theater, kinda like Bobert, but definitely, uh, uh, Rubens was a little more extreme. He came out a few weeks later at the MTV Video Music Awards and he said, heard any good jokes recently? You know, making light of the situation, trying to move past it because he's an entertainer, because he was also a comedian and an actor. And those people don't have to be perfect.

Lauren Bobert, on the other hand, you're not in the entertainment industry, okay? You're not out there trying to get people to like you. Once again, you are lobbying to be a person who writes laws. That's the position you actually currently hold, and you're making light of the entire reason you even had to switch districts in the first place. I know you think it's funny, I know you think it's cute. I know you probably got some bad advice like, Hey, what if we get on top of the issue by just making a joke about it? If you were a comedian, that would probably be the best response. If you were an actor, that would probably work a little bit, but you're a lawmaker. What you needed to do was show a little bit of humility, show a little bit of maturity, show that you know you screwed up and you've moved on, and that you are deeply sorry for it. But what your comment tells me, which by the way, came just days after you were accused of punching your ex-husband in the face in a restaurant. But what your statement tells me

Is that you've learned nothing. You have not matured. You are still just the same horrible person you were several months ago when you denied all of this even happened. And then, oh, the video came out and showed you did every single thing you denied, like vaping in the theater next door, a pregnant woman. So yeah, grow up, learn a lesson, and for the love of God, get out of politics for good.
