Judge Cannon Again Protects Trump By Screwing Over Prosecutor

Judge Aileen Cannon is still doing everything possible to protect Donald Trump, and late last week she ruled that Jack Smith can NOT get his hands on Trump's communications because it is way too early to make him declare what his legal defense is going to be. The trial is just months away according to the official timeline, but Cannon's ruling is a good indication that she is going to further delay the trial, possibly until after the 2024 election. Late last week, judge Eileen Cannon once again ruled against special prosecutor Jack Smith in her ongoing efforts to continue to coddle and protect Donald Trump. Here's what happened. Jack Smith wanted Judge Cannon to force Donald Trump to declare what kind of defense he was going to use at trial. The trial, by the way, still technically on the docket for May, so we're four months away from the start of that trial. So Jack Smith said, listen, judge, if he's going to use an advice of counsel, defense basically blaming his lawyers, then I have to have access. And legally I'm allowed to have access to the communications between him and his lawyers. And as part of our trial prep, which is the phase that we are in right now, I need those documents. So you have to ask him, you have to force him to declare if that's the kind of defense he's gonna use.

Or if he's not, I don't need it, we'll move on. And Judge Cannon issued an order telling Jack Smith, I'm dismissing your motion. She dismissed it without prejudice. So he can of course file it again if he wants to. But she's basically telling him, Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow your roll there buddy, we've got so long before the trial that, uh, Trump doesn't need to tell you right now what he's gonna do. You know, it, he, you don't need that stuff right now. No. So you can't have it, and I'm not gonna make him tell you what kind of defense he's gonna use. So not only does this put the prosecution at a severe disadvantage, but it also makes it clear that Judge Cannon says The trial's too far away. Well, if you've ever prepared for a trial or in my case, helped lawyers prepare for trials, uh, four months is not a long time.

Like four months is basically tomorrow in the legal world, trust me, those who know, like, you know, but she's signaling to Jack Smith that, Hey, you're gonna have plenty of time. 'cause I got no intention of doing this in May. And she has also made it very clear in other motions that she has, uh, uh, ruled upon that she doesn't want to do it in May. Now, as I said, technically it's still on the docket for May. That has not yet changed, but it's going to. And that's what she's telling us with this ruling. She's gonna continue to protect Donald Trump. She's gonna push it as far down the road as humanly possible. And it's all to protect Donald Trump and to screw over the prosecutors. That is what she has done every step of the way. That is what she continues to do. And it is beyond past time for, uh, Jack Smith to

Go ahead and file a motion with the appellate court to get her off the case. She is not being fair. She is not being impartial. Every time she gets the opportunity to do the right thing, she consistently does the wrong thing just so she can protect Trump.
