YouTube Description
as posted by the channelA Democrat has shocked the nation by winning a special election for a Florida House seat in an area that Ron DeSantis carried by 12 points. This is a deep red district, and even though the totals were close, Democratic candidate Tom Keen pulled off a major upset against Republican candidate Erika Booth. Democrats are continuing to over-perform expectations, which calls into question the validity of today's polling. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Democrats in the state of Florida. In fact, one Democrat in the state of Florida, a man by the name of Tom Keen, has garnered national headlines this week when he did the unthinkable, Mr. Keen won a special election to Florida's House of Representatives in a DeSantis plus 12 deep red District. That's right, a Democrat, as we have been seeing for the last two years, overperformed expectations and took over a seat previously held by a Republican. Now, his Republican rival, Erica Booth, did concede, uh, the margin, by the way, between the two was small, uh, 11,390 votes to 10,800. So 590 votes less than 600 votes separated the two individuals. But a Democrat won a Republican plus 12 district in deep red Florida this week. He was not expected to win. This is not something anybody saw coming, but he did it. And the reason I'm even talking about this, because again, this is the Florida State House, which still has a Republican super majority. It's not like winning this seat changes the dynamics in the state of Florida. But what it shows us, as I said, is that Democrats are continuing to outperform expectations in elections across the country. They did it in the 2022 midterms. Yeah, Republicans did take back the house, but they predicted a 70 seat advantage. They get 10.
They won in other deep red parts of Florida earlier this year in special elections. They're winning in deep red states on abortion. You know, uh, uh, uh, amendments. Democrats are winning and winning and winning when all of the indicators say that they should be losing. The polls say they should have lost these things, but they're not losing. Does that kind of sound familiar? Does that maybe sound like something we ought to apply on the national level too, when we see all these polls that say, oh God, Donald Trump is crushing President Biden. Really? Because those polls are based on what human beings tell pollsters that they're gonna do. Okay. Semi reliable, right? Or we can look at what the voters are actually doing instead of just saying what they're doing. Look at what they're actually doing, and they're voting for Democrats. Democrats are winning in places where Democrats should not be winning.
This is great news, by the way. I'm not mad about it. I love it. But what I'm telling you is that all of these gloom and doom polls, all of these naysayers out there who are like, oh my God, Biden's gonna get crushed. I, I don't see it. And we don't see it. Sure, people are telling pollsters we're gonna do one thing, but when the rubber meets the road, they're not doing it. They're voting for the Democrats. So trust the polls. If you want, maybe if you enjoy pleasant surprises, maybe you should believe the polls. But if you want a good barometer on what's actually happening with voters across the country, look at the real election results and they will tell you, Democrats are definitely not in as much trouble as a lot of the pundits would like to have you think?
