Right wing broadcaster Greg Kelly doesn't like the fact that Taylor Swift's fans are "worshipping" her like an "idol," and he pointed out that idolatry is a sin in the Bible. I kind of have a problem though with the hardcore Taylor Swift fans. They are totally over the top worshiping this woman. Have you seen any of the pictures of, of her in concert? Have you ever seen the footage from a Trump rally, Greg? Have you ever seen your own social media feed? Greg, you wanna talk about idolatry? You wanna talk about people worshiping another regular human being as if they are the second coming of Jesus Christ? Then why aren't you doing segments on the, the Trump people? I mean, hell at that, uh, Republican conference a couple years ago, they literally had a golden idol of Donald Trump. Much like, you know, the story of the 10 Commandments where Moses is up on the mountain and they go down and build the golden calf to worship the golden calf. There was a golden idol of Trump at a conservative conference. Yes, people like Taylor Swift, they enjoy her music. Yes, she's probably the biggest name in entertainment alive today.

Maybe people do worship her. Maybe it is a little weird, but it's a musician. She's providing something that they like. Donald Trump, on the other hand, is a washed up twice failed with the popular vote politician who never actually gave people any material thing. Music brings people joy. Music brings people happiness. It helps elevate whatever feelings you have, good or bad. And sometimes elevating the bad feelings is what people do want. Music moves. People. Music is a part of our lives, so they flock to Taylor Swift. You know, kinda like Beatlemania, kinda like the Rolling Stones, kinda like Elvis Presley, right? Every generation's got one.
