3:23Now PlayingGiuliani In Trouble As Judge Orders Him To Reveal Who Is Paying His Legal Fees
YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe judge overseeing Rudy Giuliani's bankruptcy proceeding has ordered the former New York City mayor to reveal every one of his donors that is paying his legal fees. Giuliani will also have to reveal how the money is being disbursed and what it is being used for in an itemized list. This is not good news for Rudy, as it could shame his donors to the point where they no longer wish to fund his legal problems, leaving him with no lawyers for the cases that he still faces. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Rudy Giuliani is having a hell of a time during his bankruptcy hearings. Uh, everything is basically going wrong for Rudy Giuliani. And in a filing last Thursday, the judge overseeing his bankruptcy proceedings actually agreed with some of the lawyers who are saying, Hey, he never paid us and we want our money here. So we're suing him. Uh, and the judge said, alright, Rudy, we know that you're having your legal fees paid by all these other groups. You've got, you know, this legal defense fund, but, uh, because you owe these people money, because you owe Ruby Freeman and Shay Moss money from that massive verdict you got hit with down in Georgia, we're gonna go ahead and need an itemized list of not just all of your donors, the people paying your legal fees. We're going to need to know how the money is dispersed. We're gonna need to know how that money once dispersed is being spent, where it's being spent, and we're gonna need itemized lists of each dollar that you have spent.
So the judge ordered Rudy Giuliani to not only make these itemized lists, but the most important thing is unmask your donors. Tell us who is paying your legal fees. And if you don't realize how detrimental that is to Rudy Giuliani, let me spell it out very clearly for you. One of the reasons why wealthy Republican donors and even wealthy liberal donors, let's be honest, one of the big reasons they love the way our new campaign finance system works following Citizens United and the McCutchen rulings is because they don't have to reveal themselves. So they can fund all of these horrible things, these horrible candidates, they're super pacs, whatever it is, and nobody ever knows. So they get to do the bad things they like now, and they're doing it much more because nobody knows that they're giving them money. Once it's revealed that these people are giving money, do you know what usually happens?
They'll stop giving money for a little while. And that same exact thing is going to happen with Rudy Giuliani. All of these wealthy Republican donors out there do not want their names revealed. They don't want people to know that they're helping this guy fight these, you know, horrific claims brought by his former assistant, Noel Dunphy. They don't want people to know that they helped pay his legal fees as he fought the defamation claims from Freeman and Moss. They don't want people to know that they're paying for his lawyers down there in Georgia. So, if Giuliani is forced to unmask these people, which according to the judge's decision he is, I'm sure he'll appeal it. But if Giuliani loses these appeals and if he has to tell the name and every personal bit of information he has on the people giving him money, I can promise you that money's gonna dry up very quickly. And Rudy Giuliani's financial troubles are about to go from bad to hilariously worse.
